I am a Pink Viking!
Over the course of the next 12 weeks the Pink Vikings will keep me plenty busy. I will do my best to keep our ship in the lead. Along with the goals set forth by the Captains, i have my own goals to achieve as well.
Here's my SMART goal statement for the Pink Vikings:
I will lose 24lbs by working out 5x a week, staying within my calorie range, drinking my 64oz of water a day, and incorporating more fruits and veggies in my meal plan . I will know I am making progress because my clothes will be looser and the number of the scale will go down for 12 weeks!
Now here are my more, specific goals...
1) I will lose the 24lbs by the end of the 12 weeks
2) I will drink 64oz of water every day
3) I will work out for at least 45 minutes everyday (I'm starting the 100 day challenge again)
4) I will stay within my calorie range 6x a week
5) My waist size will be under 40 inches
6) My thigh size will be less than 21 inches
7) I will fit into a size 18 jeans
8) I will fit into a size 16 yoga pants
9) I will complete a 5k in under 50 minutes
Side Note: I have six opportunities to complete the 5k in under 50 minutes. I have a scheduled 5k on:
1) Race for the Cure Denton 9/29
2) Race for the Cure Dallas 10/20
3) Trek or Treat 5k 10/28
4) SP Virtual Halloween 5k 10/31
5) Dallas Turkey Trot 11/22
6) Deck the Trails 5k 12/1
Letter to myself...
Vicky, what are you doing to yourself? You have a great month and you are down a total of 54.2lbs. THEN you go off your rocker and stop everything all together. Why do your sabotage yourself? You have the determination. You have the equipment. So why do you stop?
I know what you are going through. I can feel your pain. STOP allowing the past to dictate your future. You are a beautiful, young woman. These fools don't know what they are passing up when they look you over. THEY don't matter. YOU matter. I need you to stay alive. In order for that to happen - you need to take care of yourself.
You just did a 10k this past weekend. How did you feel when you were done? We both know you could have pumped out another few miles. How do you think you were able to accomplish that? It's your hard work that got you to where you are at right now! You are STRONG! Remember that the next time you want to eat that damn slice...er, slices of chocolate cake. You are so much better then you give yourself credit for.
These next 12 weeks set out to prove to yourself just how much you are worth it. Those goals you listed above...LIVE them every day. Keep them posted on your bathroom mirror, on your fridge door at home, on your computer monitor at work, and in your car. You can do this. We both know you can do this.
12 weeks...just give it 12 solid weeks and then tell me how you feel about yourself at the end. I love you girl...now go and LIVE your life.
Aren't we always harder on ourselves then we are on anyone else. A lot of what i wrote is because i wrote that in response to someone else's comments. Then i had to sit back and realize that i needed to eat my own words. It's hard to think that i'm strong, or that i'm athletic when i'm still way over 250lbs. But i try my best. That's all that i can really do right?
Tomorrow morning i weigh-in for my BLC20 challenge. Whatever the scale says i will update my weight tracker and that will be my starting point. Then i can set my workout and weight loss calendar goals.
Last night i walked 5 miles and then made my Trek or Treat 5k tutu to go along with my kitty ears and tail...
Tonight i plan on walking 7 miles and working on my Turkey Trot tutu.
Yes, i do love wearing tutu's! I don't care how big i am...i enjoy wearing cute costumes! I just posted pictures from this past weekends Tomato Battle and the cape and mask i'm wearing i made. I love doing crafty type things!
