I had such a great time on VACAY! I went back home to Chicago to visit family and friends. It was so hard to come back to Texas...but i did. So here's a recap of my VACAY:
I landed at 7:45am at O'hare. I went to pick up my rental car and the price they tried to charge me was DOUBLE the price of the quote on my print out when i RESERVED the car. What gives? After a little debate with the sales rep...i left with no car. I called my sister...no answer. I called my brother...no answer. I called my girlfriend that is getting married...she turned around and came straight to pick me up...gotta love friends that are willing to drop what they are doing for you.
So we spent the day hanging out and then went to my brothers house - where i would sleep for the week. We just had a relaxing day catching up and bbqing.
Spent the day with Minee, helping her with last minute stuff for the wedding. Before i went to her place (my brother lent me his car for the week. He works a 5 minute bike ride away from his house so he easily lent it to me...YAY!) I went for a walk. There's a trail near their place so i walked it. I brought the WRONG shoes, because...
I felt the start of a blister about 2.5 miles into my walk. At 2.85 i decided to turn around and walk back home. At the 4 mile mark i felt a cooling sensation...DANG! THe blisters must have popped! I REFUSED to look at it. Once you look - then it hurts. So i didn't look until i got back home and took my shoes off. The entire back of my shoes were covered in blood.
I went to visit my sister for the day
I decided to sleep at my sisters and we practiced my make-up and hair for the upcoming wedding.
These were my sleeping buddies...gotta love them!
I hung out at my brothers all day.
dress rehearsal for the wedding! First we got our nails done...i did a mani and pedi. And the lady looks at me and says, "Do you want to take care of your eyebrows and mustache before the wedding?" DANG! I guess i do...lol

Then we went back to Minee's and i straightened her hair.

Time to come home...how sad! But first i helped my sister in law pull weeds!
But the plane was delayed by 2hrs...
When i landed and went to baggage claim there were 17 of my friends holding up signs welcoming me home! Gotta love it!
i relaxed at home but did hit the pool for 10 laps. I don't know how people do it. It was HARD!

So it's easy to see that i can do a lot in the gym...yet the scale isn't moving much. And i've said it month after month...it has to be my eating! So...
My August goal is to STAY within my calorie range 25 out of the 31 days.
My plan is that, much like my exercise update, i will simply say how many calories i had eaten the day before. This may sound simple to some...but it's the hardest part for me to actually control. And it's the most crucial part that needs to be controlled. Without a proper eating plan, no amount of exercise is going to help me lose weight. So August is the month to get my eating habits under control!
So here's how i'll report everyday...

I'm not so much focusing on what i'm doing in regards to my workouts, as they are pretty solid in my routine. BUT i still want to watch what i'm doing. I still have my yearly goal of completing 1500 miles.

I cannot believe that today is the last day of July...this year is just FLYING by!
I have to admit, watching the Olympics while i'm on the treadmill or bike pushes me just a little further each time. This past Saturday and Sunday morning i watched the mens and womens road race while riding the stationary. After about 20 miles my butt and thighs are aching. How these people do it for 87+ miles is CRAZY!
But here's how i always look after a workout...
Then once i get home and wash my face, i'm like this...
Yes that is my tutu in the background. And yes, that is my exercise journal on the floor. Why is it on the floor? Because i was resting for a few minutes before i did my core workout...on the floor.
So something hit me last night...i have the wedding next Friday and i'm prepared for it. But there's something i forgot all about. These people are all dancers! I don't dance! Rather, i don't know HOW to dance. And to be honest, no one has ever asked me to dance. I guess that's a lie. I went to this Country dance club once and this older guy asked me to dance and when i said i didn't know how to dance, he just said, "well i'll teach you!" And while i was TERRIBLE he danced a few times with me and was trying to instruct me on how to move my feet. I'll be honest...i loved it! But this wedding...it's all going to be gyrating music...i'm sick to my stomach thinking about it...i don't want to be the log that just sits there. I only know about 4 people at this wedding and they all have somebody with them...oh well...i will drink a lot and maybe that will make me not notice that i'm alone and not dancing...
