Yesterday i had to fill out a form and it asked for my height, weight, color of hair, etc. Weight? I wrote 135 wow, is this me? I am at a weight that feels good. Perfect? No, not sure what that means. Good? Yes.
Being at this new weight has opened up so many conversations about weight and health. It is okay, I welcome them. I say 'thank you' and hope to be an example of living healthy.
Don't take the scale too serious. Don't live by the scale. Live a healthy balance. Live.


What a Weekend

I'm getting used to my weight loss, others are now noticing. My weekend:

Friday: Dad's birthday. Supper at brother and wife's house. He notices I've lost weight and blurts out that I've lost 24 pounds! He says that I look great. A sharing of SP and healthy living follows. He cut me 1/4" thick slice of cake (it's possible) after I refused a much thicker one.

Friday night: Son's HS varsity football game, won in last two minutes of game. Very exciting.

Saturday: Cleaned house...

Sunday: Two women at our church noticed how I look and want to know how I lost weight, I share you need to eat less and move more and how I found motivation at SP.

Sunday night: Two friends asked about my weight loss and I once again told all about SP and later emailed them the link. They are impressed and commented how good I look.

I'm not used to all this attention about my weight, but people want to know.

What a weekend, (even with house cleaning)!

    Its funny how that works. It makes me feel weird when people question me about my loss but it always makes me smile. Good for you! Your hard work is paying off!

As I get closer to a weight that I have not seen in like forever, I should be happy. I'm not. Well I am but...
I have accomplished loosing over 20 pounds and I feel great about that. I see more muscle tone in my legs, love that. Problem is I still have a gut, a paunch, muffin top, whatever you want to call it. I have abs of steel under a layer of flab. If I don't loose another pound I have accomplished a huge thing. Yet I want the paunch gone! I understand completely how weight changes as we age...argh! I know that cardio, cardio, cardio is the way to loose fat. Question is, when are we happy with the skin we are given?
