Should I join a gym?

Pros:
1. I have hit a wall as far as motivation goes
2. La fitness has recently moved to the area and has good classes and a good facility
3. I could eat out less and be able to afford it
4. I recently gained 15 lbs and I need to do something

Cons:
1. Its a big financial commitment and I receive a lump sum of financial aid and this may interfere with funds for emergencies
2. I once lost 35 lbs using my school's free gym and workout dvds (so, maybe I dont need it?)
3. Gym is a 20 min drive away; school gym is a 10 min walk away


Problems with free school gym
1. Fitness classes arent very challenging
2. The instructors are often late (10-15 mins)
3. There is not much variety in the classes and times (cost $45/semester)

Making a comeback from my set back

Confession time: I have gained 12 lbs. That is just crazy and I cannot believe I did this to myself.

How I did it:
1. I took a 2 month break from working out
2. I was out of town for a one month clinical rotation and took advantage of the free hospital food and sweets and donuts and chips and soda....it was not pretty. I was eating alot of beige foods.
3. I managed to lose a couple of pounds before christmas break, but then I gained those back and then some.

The Plan
1. workout 30 mins/day for 6 days a week
2. Eat more fruits and vegetables
3. Eat less processed food
4. no sweets or chips
5. no eating out

I really would like to get to 119 lbs. this year. I have been on my weight loss journey for 2 years now and I want to reach the maintenance stage. Once there I will join a gym to keep fitness exciting and be strict with my eating 6 days a week with one cheat day.

These Last 10 lbs Must Go

I have been bouncing between 125-127 lbs for the last couple of months. I was pretty comfortable buying my size 6 skirts, until I tried on some size 6 pants bought for me by my aunt and realized I may not yet be a true size 6 because they were unprofessionally tight.

Plan:
1. Blog at least every other day
2. Write down meal plan and stick to it
3. Burn 2500 calories per week
**I bought Bob Harper's 4 DVD workout set which actually has 8 workouts and it was very inexpensive. I plan to do one or two of the workout 3-4x per week and run 1-2x so that I end the week having completed 5 workouts.
