It was another long night for us. Victoria awoke burning up again last night, thankfully the ibuprofin helps her. Don't know if she woke Spencer or vice versa, but it was tough trying to put him back down. Victoria only has a slight fever this am. I've definitely warmed up to the idea of staying home today & get some much needed rest. It was nice not to have to rush & have a leisurely morning. Maybe this fever is God's way of telling us to slow down :) The kids are watching a movie from the library while I type. I'm enjoying the quiet for a few minutes. Hope everyone has a nice day!

I went trick or treating w/my girls & our friends last night. Spencer was falling asleep @ dinner. They each collected over 100 pieces of candy & we only did 3 streets in our neighborhood. I knew I'd be getting cardio, but the strength training of holding their bags was my big surprise, LOL. Victoria woke up w/a nightmare last night. Must have been all the scary stories & all the spooky decorations, people & music. So I wasn't surprised when she told me she had a headache & was tired, but unfortunately after church we noticed she was running a fever. Hope it's nothing serious, but am keeping her home today. She was bummed to miss her friends bday party & school & dance tomorrow. I'm bummed we're going to miss going to the farm again. Before it was for rain, now b/c I want her to be w/out a fever for at least 24 hours before letting her go out in public.

hey two of my three children just had H1N1 and they can treat it if they catch it with in the first 24 hr of the fever. My oldest could not have any tamaflu and was much more sick than my 2 yr. who did take tamaflu. Maybe you should take her to the doctor, just in case it is H1N1.... one school in my county had 100 children out in one day because of H1N1... this is a district of only 380 in the HS!!! Best wishes and I hope she feels better!!

I know it is disappointing about the items you mentioned and I understand. emoticon Here are a few other things you'll miss; a relapse ending in an even more intense illness, her friends and others that come in touch with her passing the illness back to her (and others), a call from school or elsewhere to stop what your doing to come get her (and her embarassment of it), needing to leave in the "middle" of the fun and causing disappointment to those around her who will be upset for her and/or had to stop or make concessions because of it. You are doing a good and responsible thing by waiting for the fever to be gone the 24 hours. I am a teacher and our school has a policy that says that very thing. You'd be amazed at how many people ignore it and send their children anyway. It usually has negative results for everyone concerned. Hooray for you! emoticon Thank you on the behalf of all those in your life who would be affected by your child's illness! emoticon

Happy Halloween! I'm looking forward to walking around the neighborhood tonight w/the kids. Fun cardio! We are carving pumpkins at the moment & next I will make pumpkin seeds /the family. I also have a recipe for pumpkin soup for later. Yum-o!

Rainy day postponed our trip to Jane & Paul's farm today. I'm so happy the preschool postponed the trip. It's much more fun to go in nice weather! Olivia had her last gymnastic class for this year today. I've signed her & Spencer up for swim classes beginning next Thur. I was disappointed I couldn't sign Victoria up after school. They were sold out before 9 this am. Maybe next year. I was doing well w/my nutrition until about an hour ago when I decided to eat way too many M&M's. Now I feel sick&guilty from bingeing. Yuck!!

It's been a busy morning already brought Victoria to the dentist & Olivia to dance. Spencer fell asleep & I'm hoping it's b/c he's tired from our morning & not from coming down w/something. He's been holding his ears a lot lately, I'm off to pick Olivia back up & bring her to the next dance class & Spencer to the library for storytime if he's awake.

Wow you sure are busy!! I usually keep schedules like that. For two weeks I have been sidelined from a procedure, I am almost jealous of your busy day :) Hope your little one is feeling ok. I have three kids and two have H1N1, they are doing remarkably well! Have a good day
