I've always been a sweet tooth, but lately.. it's getting out of control.. I suspect it's because its that exam time of year, on top of working full time and trying to get to the gym when I have a spare second - my old friend stress-cravings!!

Anybody have any tips for beating the beast?? Having just a wee bit doesn't help (if anything it actually feeds the fury). I've managed to stay semi-sane so far with extra fruit, gum, and more frequent coffee breaks.. but definitely open to more ideas!

Muscles are killing me today. I'm actually quite surprised.. due to my lack of sleep lately I thought I was being pretty slack at the gym.. just sort of going through the motions rather than pushing the limits like I usually do.. but my muscles are killing this week! (maybe it has something to do with less repair time while I'm sleeping??

Anywho, I'm back to normal sleep as of last night, and rest day today. Back the gym Thurs to build more lean muscle!! so excited about the prospect of seeing my abs this summer!!!! Come on now body, work with me!

So I've bitten the bullet and made a new spark team - Vege Bikini, Figure, Physique, Body Building team.

I'm a pretty new vegetarian in the great scheme of things (about a year, but not much meat eaten before the official date anyway), nor am I a seasoned bodybuilder - but am working towards my first competition.

I think it would be great to get some like-minded individuals in a team (novice or pro), so we can feed off each others energy and throw sanity-saving tips around - by no means do I mean to exclude meat-eaters! but only support and encouragement is welcome :D

I've started off with some pretty basic overall team goals, but as soon as numbers and ideas pick up, I'm keen to get some challenges.. definitely open to ideas if anyone has any... sugar-free challenge? caffeine free? a monthly "beat your own personal best [insert exercise here]" beep-test kind of thing? (actually that sounds pretty good)

Anyway, if my groups sounds like anything you may be interested, come on over! I'm still setting it up etc. but can't really get the party started until we get members anyway!

Isn't it strange that the little things such as seeing my sparkpoints rise, and getting a digital reward just makes my day??

Well.. it doesn't really compare to weigh-in days when I have lost (especially if it was more than expected).. but on those days when I don't lose after a hard week's slog at the gym and a strong show of willpower on the dessert front - it's just that wee reminder that actually I have worked hard, and it wasn't all for nothing.. and that I will eventually get there if I keep logging my food and exercise, and keep on keeping on..

Isn't it strange??
