Last week we returned from a very short trip to Canada, It was a much needed trip. I will spare you all the stressful week that we were in at the time, but we my oldest daughter and I did enjoy seeing the very Beautiful Shasta Mountain as we were driving back home to Sacramento County California. Here is what it looks like in August 2014. Seeing this beauty brings to our thoughts about how lucky we are to live in such a Beautiful Country, and how Thankful we are to God to be living here.

I hope that you all have a wonderful safe day. I went to see my mother today. The first time in about 8 years. She is 97 years old and in a care home here in Texas. Not doing very well, as a few months ago she fell and broke her spine and her pelvic bones. We hope to see her while we are here visiting. She did remember me, my hubby and daughter. Thanks for all your prayers during this difficult time in all our lives.

On Tuesday morning June 18 we visited my sweet mother-in-law, Lucille at her care home, She had been having good day and bad days. She was very tired of battling to get well with the injuries on both arms and legs, having pain in her right forearm and it seemed somewhat swollen. She couldn't sip on the straws anymore, so I gave her strawberry milk and water from the straw, that she enjoyed. We knew she was not going to be here very long. My DH talk to her about Heaven and that she didn't have to stay here, and when she got there to give hugs to Jesus, her hubby and our 3 daughters, her parents, other family and friends there, Hi from us. She was tired, had lived a long life at 105. When we were leaving her, this is what she said in a large clear voice, with one hand up as waving,
"Tell Everyone Goodbye here, Cause I'm Leaving"
She passed away at 12:30 am on June 20,2014
Thank You all so much for your Prayers, Love and Concern, that you have shown during this hard time, saying goodbye for a while to our loved one.

Good Morning to you all, I hope that you are having a great week. Yesterday, we spent most of the day at the emergency room at the local hospital. Earlier in the day we visited with my mother-in-law Lucille at her care home, We had stressed to her many times that she was only to get up out of her bed only if she called the nurse by pushing the little red call button. She has broken her leg & has a full big leg brace,a couple days before, they are giving her pain medication so she thinks she can walk and that it isn't broken. I guess being stubborn, is the reason she has lived to be 105. We got a call from her place two hours later, that she had gotten up, gone into the bathroom, and fallen, banged her head scalping her scalp and cutting her fore head, and they called 911. We felt so bad, but she is so indenpendant even at her age, she never has or will asked for help when needed. I'm sure she is sore this morning. As she was lying on the hospital bed she says, "I'm going to be sore tomorrow". I said, I'm sure you will. They gave her good treatment, with lots of stitches, ekg, cats scans, mri and blood tests as well as admitting her for a couple of day. We are hoping that she survives this trauma to her body.

Yes last Friday (6-6-14) my mother-in-law fell from her wheel chair and they took her to the hospital for xrays, The Dr thinks that she is to old at 105 to have an operation so she is now wearing a very large brace. We went to visit yesterday and the brace had worked its way almost down to her knee. The break is just below the Right Knee on the leg bone. Such sad news for Lucille, although she has some pretty bad demitia now, the pain medication just blocks out the memory, and the pain, except a short time when I had the nurse come an adjust her brace. The pain from the broken bone showed up when it was being adjusted, but only lasted until it was re-placed back in the correct position from the hip to about 6 inches above the ankle. She only weighs about 88 pounds and the brace seems a little large on her very boney thigh. She may need a smaller one. We pray that she won't be in lots of pain at her age, and the pain medication seems to be working as about 5 minutes after the pain of adjusting the brace, she had forgotten it and was ready to get up and walk. She didn't even remember the nurse Liz, coming in or realizing that her leg is broken.
If you believe in God please say a little prayer for Lucille. Thank you so much !
