I am thankful for new beginnings and a chance to start over

Yesterday i was very upset with myself. I finally got on the scales to see I had gained back 20 pounds. I had worked so hard to loose 50 pounds and It felt wonderful. .So sad I let myself go in the wrong direction.
So it is time to start over and be happy I haven't gained it all back.


.I am thankful for new beginnings and a chance to start over.


I am thankful that God has given me a good healthy body. I need to take care of it.


I am thankful that my son and his family are back in our lives.


I am thankful my husbands depression and anxiety are improving.

    Hey Valerie....

I do believe the hardest thing to do is to admit
to is gaining weight. We all have done it. You are
just smart enough to stop it at 20. You could have
easily said ...screw it and gained 40 before you
stopped it.

So I am proud of you!!!

One day at a time.... Those 20 will be off by
spring and you can strut you stuff in smaller
clothes. That is what I plan to do.

    Welcome Back! We'd missed you...!
You know, with all that you have been dealing with...good and bad...I don't think you have any reason to feel at all bad about gaining some. I believe it is ArchimedesII who many times has posted that she is a firm believer that stress is an overlooked cause of weight gain. I 100% agree with that! And, we only have so many hours in our days to Live ...and... "Spark": track, exercise, plan, and learn. One can only do so much!

I'd be willing to guess that in years past, you might have regained it all---but with your knowledge and trying to keep on track, you didn't!! Way To Go!! Glad you are able to be back and working towards your health again!!

    I t sounds like you have much to be thankful for! I too gained weight in the last few months because I didn't track my food and I've not been diligent about wearing my fitbit. Time to refocus.

30,000 Steps to GLORY!

MOSTMOM1 started a challenge to get 30,000 steps in a day. I kept thinking there is no way I can do that many steps in a day. Sometimes getting 10,000 in a day is a challenge. A few days before the challenge I decided to get 15,000 steps in, Then the day after I did 20,000! and the day after that 25,000!.And I ended the day today with 32,814 steps!

I started the day at 7:30 when my husband left for work. My walking partner was my dog Buddy. He was more than happy to get a long morning walk in while it was cool outside. We came in around 8:30 and had breakfast. After that I put some music on and danced while doing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen. Buddy kept looking at me like I was crazy.

I marched in place while picking Blueberries and folding the laundry.I also did some hooping.

I danced around while I made lunch, and sat on my exercise ball while I ate. All movement counts Right?

Buddy and I ran around in the house playing chase.

My husband was nice and took me out for diner. And then we did some shopping. And Buddy and I went for another walk.
That's How I got my 30,000 steps to glory!

Chef Meg's Tomato Soup

I tried this soup the other day and loved it!

Our tomatoes did really well this year. emoticon So I decided to make Chef Meg's Tomato Soup to put it in the freezer. I ended up with 15 quarts. I didn't remove the skin or the seeds from the tomatoes. I blended it by putting small amounts in my blender, and it turned out wonderful! I also used whole wheat bread.

Goals for 77 Days of Autumn

Time for me to Spark! emoticon

My goals for the next 77 Days!

1. strength training 3x a week.
2. exercise at least 30 minutes daily
3. Track food daily
4. Track fitness daily
5. Continue to eat healthy and drink lots of water

I got lazy and stopped using my trackers months ago. As a result of that I haven't lost any weight over the summer. But I was busy with yard work, camping and visiting with family.
