33 Weeks Preggo

Made it to week 33. Have not exercised or tracked my eating. Yes I have ate like all the junk in the world. lol. But still doing ok. As I draw closer to my due date I would like to focus a little more on my eating and getting some good exercise. The whole labor and delivery scares the heck out of me!!!!!! I have a class on July 30 which should help calm some of my fears of the unknown. Better late than never but hoping some good diet and and exercise will help me through that marathon when I get there. (Due September 7th).

This have been such an interesting and happy time in my life. I have loved and enjoyed it so much. I am having a little girl! Valyssa Amy. I cant wait to meet her.

Made it to twelve weeks

According to my online calendar I have now made it to twelve weeks of my pregnancy, and tomorrow is my birthday. A great present would be for this morning (all day) sickness to go away. lol.

Then I can focus on my test for work and my nutrition and exercise. I have a lot to look forward to this year. To be honest though, the idea of childbirth scares the heck out of me. Just such an unknown. Guess it will be figured out as we go along.

    Wooo Hooo! I started feeling much better by 14 weeks. I am so excited for you! You are in great physical shape. I have had three of my four babies without an epidural, and it is not easy, but neither is running 5 miles. I would compare giving birth to an intense workout. A few excellent birthing books to read are "The Baby Catcher", and "Ina May Gaskins Guide to Childbirth". I read everything I could get my hands on in regards to childbirth when I was pregnant. Just remember that your body was made to have babies. Trust your body, you can do it!

But, I am in an extremely good mood today. Is it because I have not thrown up today, I am getting my horribly hard test books today or is it just because?

Recently my job changed................I hate they way it is now managed or MICRO-managed I should say. I miss my old boss who is still in the same building and my new one is not even in the same time zone. Maybe its the conversation with my old boss that I am just going to have to be the difficult one for my new boss to adjust to. You think I should be offended but I am not. The reason I am difficult is I refuse to stop working toward my goals.

The study books I am getting today is towards a designation my old boss (much older than me) only got about two years ago. I hope to have mine twenty years earlier than he got his. I also refuse to abuse myself for the sake of new management. I am pregnant and yes, I am going to use more than 20 minutes (timed restroom breaks) a day to go potty if I need to. (I even had to get a doctors note. lol)

All in all I have been very sick with this being my first pregnancy, but I think getting up yesterday and working out changed something. I dont know what yet. I am just glad I got to come to the same building I have worked at for the last 7 years.
I know my job and can do it.
I know how to eat healthy. (though not always practiced)
I know how to workout.
I know I am loved.

And I KNOW these things. That is enough reasons to be happy everyday. I wish everyone was as lucky to have the chance to educate themselves. So many people dont know how to do some of these things. Which is why we need to share with people any chance we get.

I am almost through my first trimester! Still very sick, but got up this morning and did one of my pregnancy DVDs. It kicked my behind! (Which is already feeling sore.) I knew I was out of shape but being pregnant on top, I didnt realize how much it takes out of you.

The goal this week is to get up Monday (done), Wednesday, and Friday and do a workout video and eventually work my way up to 6 days a week. I want to pace myself so I do not burn out before I even get started.

This is going to be interesting. I dont feel like I can totally share my accomplishments with people at work because the general assumption is that since I am pregnant its suppose to be all cookies and laziness. Which doesnt really work for me.

I got a new blender this weekend. Just need to find some good smoothie recipes to try out for my breakfast. Any yummy fruit ones would be great.

    My fave smoothie: 3/4C water, 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (make sure it has real sugar, not low-carb and "fake sugar" while preggo), 1TB peanut butter, 1 frozen banana (skin & slice it before you freeze it). Adjust amt of water for desired thickness.

*Note, you can add 1-2C fresh spinach to this smoothie once you feel better and can tolerate it looking "green" for an extra kick. You don't really taste the spinach, but if you're feeling icky, then it might turn you off.

    Congratulations on the baby! How cool, I'll be 12 weeks this Thursday, my "morning" aka "all day" sickness is better this week, only 1/2 the day! c'monnn 2nd trimester! ;) Hope yours starts getting better soon too! I know what you mean about sharing your accomplishments, when I tell people I would like to maintain or even keep losing till it's all baby weight i'm gaining they look at me like I'm insane, but my doctor says thats a wonderful goal! I'm with her! :) Good luck on the smoothie recipes, my blender stinks, but I've been on a strawberry milkshake kick since I'm not eating too much these days! SO tasty! :)

Pregnancy update

I am still fighting horrible "morning" sickness all day long. If I force myself to eat then it helps though I dont feel hungry. I cant wait for my birthday because I should be starting my second trimester and I am betting on statistics that I will feel better (it gets me through for now).

I ordered some pregnancy workout dvds that I will do as soon as I feel I can stay awake long enough and eat enough to make them helpful. This is all new and exciting to me. My first OB visit is Friday.

    "morning" sickness is so hard! It took so long for me to get pregnant, that I was able to bear the morning sickness a little better. My babies are pretty much made out of chocolate chip mint icecream. That was all I could keep down for the first trimester with most of them. I hope you start feeling better soon! In a month or so, you will be able to feel your little one swimming! That part of pregnancy is absolutely amazing.
