A Life changing event today

Today was my birthday and i had a life changing event in my life today. I don't need to go into detail as to what it was but it is something that i have wanted for myself for years but too afraid to do it. Well today I did and im so happy. I want this to be a day of new beginnings , i want to work hard and get to a healthy weight. I ready to move forward now..

i exercised 20 min abds today

I got out of the habit of exercising for a while now and today i felt so blauuuu, so i did 20 minute abs and i feel so much better. it's crazy how exercise really helps you mood but it takes alot get motivated enough to do it. I used to exercise failthfully and this year im not sure what happened, i have been so tired and not motivated to do much of anything . So glad i exercised today..

    Good for you! Better take a look at why you might be so tired. It could be anything from low blood to depression. Its not normal for such a young person like you to feel tired!

taking the time to eat healthy

Life gets so busy, so hard to think first before eating. I tend to do this when I am super hungry and working a lot. I did this all through the weekend. Tomorrow I am hoping to make a fresh start. The thing that works best for me is to track all my calories...

    You can do it! Tracking is good, but it must also be accurate, and that means weighing and measuring. It really does work when used as intended.

Vacation eating

I love vacation but everytine I go I tend to eat unhealthy and more than usual. I then begin again when I get home. Wish I could leave lessons and not repeat the things I do so often.

    Yes, unfortunately :( It seems to get the ball rolling :( Do you track your food? If you need to weigh and measure and record everything, maybe you would be more mindful of your portions/calorie intake.. Tracking always has been my wake up call, my slap in the face.. it really works. I don't think I have kept the weight off for two years without it.

new idea that is working

So last week i thought of why i eat so much in the evening, well i know that i stress eat and often eat when im really happy about something. I know when i snack i do it in front of the tv. Now i have a new rule, if i snack watching tv it can only be vegetables -no dips, fruits or light popcorn. One of my very favoirte things to snack on is chips and salsa or hummus, so now if i have this it can't be in front of the tv. I have to say i am eating much less and choosing healthier options. SO FAR SO GOOD!!!

    TV was a huge snack trigger for me. I stopped watching it two years ago, and now only watch movies at my Mom's when I stay there. I must say I don't miss it at all. This evening was gorgeous so I got outside and enjoyed it -a rare treat, warm and no winds, got to take advantage of those days. There is so many more fun and better things to do than watch TV.
Good for you for finding a solution to meet the problem half way!
