So yestersday was spent waiting.. then of course all hell broke loose
the dog started making these strange noises like he had gas and nothing I could do comforted him. Just putting on his leash to take him outside made him hurt. So called our vet and was told if the symptoms got worse or continued to call back and they would work us in.
Then family doctor called and hubby's prescriptions were ready.
Waited around to see if my lab slip would be done so that I could have labs while I was there. An hour later got the call they were.
As I was heading out the house, the terminex guy showed up. He was only supposed to be spraying one plant but I found out they booked my quarterly appt without my knowledge. That had to stop and he had to move his truck as he was blocking me in.
So to get the lab slip, then to family practice. Could not get the blood done because the doctor wanted an am cortisol and aldosterone and it was to late to do that. Got the labs slips and got his drugs filled. Came home and the dog had an accident in the house.
Twenty minutes later when our son came home, the dog looked again like death was among him and I called the vet.
In the hour between this call and hubby coming home to get the dog, the dog would not move. When the leash when on and we headed into the garage and he saw "daddy's" car,l he put those paws into the ground and was coming back to life.
At the vets office they really thought it was gas also but finally was able to get a urine sample from him. Showed a lot including the dog most like just had a small kidney stone pass through thim.
So now we have to wait a few days, get another urine sample and return to the vet. Depending on the results, it could been changing his dog food, adding cranberry's to his diet in the form of pills to make his urine less acidic or do nothing.
