Yesterday I was listening to the airlines new way to make money.
Instead of the holiday periods being a time for slight increases in fares, they have taken those day plus now making it a period from Nov through May. So if you fly the day daylight savings time begins in March, you get charged an extra 30.00. Valentines and Presidents Day weekend, gets you an additional 50.00 hike.
They say now to save money you have to check all the airlines but the major sites and make sure if you are flying at a peak time, that increase is included in that fare and not as you are checking out.
So now with these increases, paying for your checked bag, food, booze, drinks, fuel surcharge fees, the amount of foot room in your row, you are beginning to wonder, can I afford to fly. One airline was even considering charging for using the rest room.
