Imagine this

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

When I stopped in to see my pain doctor today, I was talking to the nurse there and she had her thryoid removed in 1997 at the age of 21. The doctor apparently left a small piece in and it re grew. I could not imagine that. To get rid of it this time, they used radioactive stuff to kill it off.

I am praying that there is nothing left inside me that will want to regrow.

Hopefully that is just a fluke. The Nurse did not use her head in telling you that.

Please try not to stress out to much about it. I know it's easier said then done but I truly think it was just a fluke with her.

I finally got something my boys had first

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

I got to see my Ent this morning while having pain in my ear. (that was ov a good thing). Described it as someone keeping a match against the tube and causing my ear to feel hot.

So I figured, he is going to stumped and send me off for a CT Scan. He actually surprised me and told me I was going to get PE tubes to drain the ear. My first thought was WOW and my second was another visit to the outpatient center. He said as soon as his nurse got approval from my insurance he could insert them while I was there in there office.

At least this was not as scary as when the boys got theirs inserted. No hospital, no worried parent watching their child go off and wonder why are mommy and daddy doing this to me.

ten minutes later I got moved to the procedure room and it was over in less than 5 minutes. My biggest fear was when he talked about numbing my ear drum. All I could invision was a huge needle which kind of freaked me out, but he did it with drops.

The meds are now wearing off and I still feel pressure but I was told that was normal. If there is no change by next Monday, then we go the CT scan route.

Praying that this goes well for you! That you don't need the CT scan.

(Lori, I don't know if I could have done that. I don't like things in my face. Let alone small sharp things!)

Hope you, too, feel better soon. Hopefully tube will do the trick.

My body is in crisis...

Monday, September 28, 2009

When a Monday starts out with making phone calls to confirm appointments for a service that the company did not call back on, then to try and find a lady in City Hall to say that my son can't make jury duty since he is in school and then finding out your own appointment with your favorite doctor is being changed (this all within a matter of 15 minutes) you know the rest of the week is going to be crazy.

I now have doctors appointments every day except for today this week. most are follow ups. One could lead to me having a CT scan for my ear still being blocked, another could leave to foot surgery because of a can of shaving cream. My pain doctor is going to decide what the best treatment is to get rid of the tingling in my arms. The we get the results.... how screwed up are my thyroid levels.

The homeopathic practioner did some tests which show that all these parts of my body are truly out of whack and even with her trying to balance them and my emotions, we are failing badly. The more things she tries s because my body wants them, the more I seem to be going backward. My system is backing up again and won't allow me to eliminate feelings or waste.

I don't know any more. I am exhausted even after the workouts. I am trying to do enough so that I don't become a couch poatato and not pushing it.

Hopefully we will have answers soon. I know everything is related and once the relatives accept they are ready and accepting the change, life will be good

Grocery store cashier has be puzzled

Sunday, September 27, 2009

This morning my neighbor called in a panic and asked if I had lettuce... any time, she did not care. Told her I was actually just leaving the house to head to the grocery store and I could pick some up for her.

I went into produce and got it along with some other veggies and two steaks for DH and me for dinner. As I was checking out, i mentioned to the cashier about the neighbor purchasing lettuce yesterday and never bringing it home. The cashier was like" thought it was odd of you purchasing lettuce" wanted to ask why she thought that but another cashier asked a question and I could not bring the conversation back to the lettuce after that.

Each week I do purchase some type of greens from that grocery store but I do tend to hit the farmers market since it is cheaper and fresher. I get my veggies.. so many sometimes, I think I am going to sprout roots.

I know what you mean! I regularly buy so much fruit, the guy at the market asked me if I keep primates at home!

a gloomy Saturday

Saturday, September 26, 2009

The plan of going to the craft show is history. It is being held outdoors and with the rain becoming thunderstorms later today, I am going to stay home nice and dry.

I continue to put all my knitting books on a resource file. Have promised several people I would post pictures of my collection when I am done. It will get done.

The boys have left. one is heading back to Durham to study for a law exam next week and the other is heading to Atlanta to finally see his girlfriend who was trapped at home last week due to the floods. She lives fairly close to six flags but luckily her house and car were not flooded since she lives on a hill.

Laundry is washing, dinner is cooking and when i get a chance to, I am slipping back into pj's.

Sorry the craft show got rained out. I would have loved to have gone to something like that myself! Seems like there are always so many craft shows this time of year.

Glad to hear that your friend is okay and that her house was not flooded. She is one of the lucky ones.
