Mondays suck

Monday, August 06, 2012

Why do thinks always go wrong on mondays

the sink got stopped up and I need to call a plumber. the water has leaked on the bottom of the cabinent and i had to remove everything from there

the company that handle the health insurance for my son's school keeps telling me that our insurance carrier's phone number is phone, when it isn't. So I had to fax the card to them to show I am right

the person who looked at our house, loves the upgrades and granite counter tops but does not like the floor plan and also that we "ruined the view" from the family room by adding on the sunroom

Our neighbor called to tell me not to take the dog outside because there were detectives across the street with their dog walking around the outside of the drug house (no they did not go inside)

The brand new jeans I purchased last Sunday are already falling off my bottom and I have not lost any weight or inches If I go a size smaller, it is going to kill my thighs by being to tight.

OM gosh you Monday was awful! My Monday's try tend to pop up more than once a week.
People looking at houses are such grips, if they don't like it okay while do they feel the need to be tacky!! Go build what they want. I pray the right people look at your house soon & want it to become their home.

Monday's are part of Murphy's law..and your house will sell to the right people who will love it..and emoticon that your pants are looser..That was the first thing I noticed on me over the weight loss..I did go into a smaller size stretch pant and now can get into my stretch jeans that are a size smaller..So you must be doing something right..And like others say today is a new day..Let the games begin.

Saturday, August 04, 2012

I read about this diet last night and could not believe people are actually using it The article I read said it costs 1200 a month to do it and there are cheaper and healthier ways of loosing weight

That is desperation in my opinion. Sad that our society considers a size 8 or 10 to be plus size.

The act of chewing itself keeps bone density high in the jaw...It stimulates the pancreas to release enzymes....Chewing effects brain chemistry. I found this intersting at pubme....http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.go
v/pubmed/20132649....

A recent study of gum chewers....."greater alertness and a more positive mood. Reaction times were quicker in the gum condition, and this effect became bigger as the task became more difficult. Chewing gum also improved selective and sustained attention. Heart rate and cortisol levels were higher when chewing which confirms the alerting effect of chewing gum." There is no corollary, but I suspect mood is going to fail and tasks will be difficult when chugging Jevity unflavored (blech) for more than one meal!!!! This is an act of desperation!!!

Chewing and sensory enjoyment in the mouth are critical to our everyday existance. Personally, I think it is part of the sacrament of sustenance.

These people are risking injury to healthy body systems to pursue an unwholesome need to be thin.. I can't believe any ethical company would sell enteral medical supplies for such an inappropriate and dangerous utilization.

Oh, wow! I just can't believe that anyone would choose to do this when they don't have to, just like others have said. This is something that should only be used as a last resort when nothing else will work - not as a way to lose weight.

My sister had ALS and refused a feeding tube. She ate things like yogurt and other foods like that once she began to have big problems swallowing. My sister was the bravest person I've ever known. I think these people are crazy!

My grandmother was on a feeding tube. I was horrific. I can't wrap this around my mind that people that are healthy are doing this to lose a few pounds fast. Why does there always have to be a magic pill or a quick fix? Healthy living is the answer to weightloss. This tube feeding thing is nuts.

I'd heard about this also. This really turns food into the enemy and I agree with CHRISBEM. I just don't think that these over-the-top methods are ever good.

I heard about that too - I don't think these people will keep the weight off - they're not learning the skills they need to maintain a good weight. Plus, I had spoken to doctors about feeding tube diets after my grandmother was put on one after having a stroke and after my grandfather started trying to have them give her nutritional supplements via IV - the doctors all said that the further away you get from getting your nutrition by actually eating it in a natural manner, the less your body is able to absorb the nutrition, the less your body is able to break it down in a useable manner, and the more prone you are to infection.

It is the weekend

Friday, August 03, 2012

After a long day of cleaning, I finally got the house to where I felt good about it. Grabbed my knitting, the dog and got in the car so we could leave before the agent got there.

The dog was not happy about this and shook with fear from being in such enclosed conditions. I stopped to get him water to keep him hydrated but he wanted no part of it.

I stopped for a while to just rest and knit but the dog wanted AC and movement so I ended up driving around town

So now back home and not sure what the thoughts on the house are. Everyone is saying prayers that we get out of here soon. I need to start a new life in a new place with after hopefully getting my medical issues in check first.

Prayers for you and yours my friend. You may want to get your dog a pheromone collar. Ask your vets office about it. It smells like their Mommies and also has some herb smells that are calming too. It will help in the car or during storms.

Hugs

I hope life is going to get better

Thursday, August 02, 2012

So perhaps my luck is changing

Getting the appointment with the new endro was a real good thing, but actually talking to him for 30 minutes telling him all my problems was surprising. Unfortunately since he is relocating his office to Charleston, it might be short lived. one thing I know he can't do is to remove the tumor, so still have to find someone.

Then this afternoon after running errands, I needed a bath. As soon as I climbed in, the phone rang. It was our real estate agent who I have not heard from in months. An agent wants to show our house between 4 and 5 on Friday afternoon. So I started vacummig, dusting and finishing up laundry and then tomorrow the kitchen will be the major room of focue for cleaning.
