Yesterday I saw my Christmas doctor and updating her on everything since I last saw her last year was incredible. The last time I saw her my thryoid was scheduled to come out the next week.
Then I told her about my foot, the issues with the fluid and the bad, bad fluid pill which made be look like I was in renal failure, along with all the testing this year for tumors, etc and then the best was the broken tailbone.
She was in such shock that I got through all this and sanely. Was very pleased at my weight loss - bit over 30 lbs since I started seein her in 2006. Told her she missed it before I got off the fluid pill and it was even lower.. next year.
945 appt, finishd bust at 1050. Not bad.
Then off to exchange some clothes, get a quick drink to take my meds.. stop and get more meds, then looked at the clock at it was 1250 and I had a 1 pm haircut.
Raced over to Penney's and when I walked in, was told my stylist was off for ton Tuesday and Wed. I booked this appointment the first week in June.. no fricking way would she not have called. Then it dawned her the manager to check and even though it was Wed and supposedly her day off, my stylist was coming in.
Three hours there and I picked up another pair of pants for hubby, then raced home to do three loads of laundry.
It finally hit me that I had not eaten all day. I truly was not hungry but knew I had to eat. Only problem, since we were heading out of town for a few days, did not go to the store. I managed a baked potato and steamed brocolli though.
Got all the laundry finished by 9, and tried to get hubby to pack last night like he promised. Of course did not work. What he did instead was buckle his heels down and not come up to bed until after midnight which meant I had a crappy nights sleep with his snoring and tossing.
So now packing is complete, have to run to the grocery store as soon as hubby moves his truck to pick up something for my son who is writing a paper due this evening. Hubby is taking the dog to the dog resort (great accommadtions for a pet, even has a bone shaped swimming pool), stopping at work (to dedicated) and then back here for the luggage and me. We have to be at the airport at 11... but since it is the company plane they will wait for us.
Will update more from Sea Island later. Send positive thoughts... this could be a very strange and ugly trip.

For those who are fans of Ruby, you know where I am going today. For those who have not heard about the Christmas doctor, its my GYN. She is about the only person who has not tested me for any this year and it will be refreshing to see a new face (my doctor also lives down the street from me so we get a chance to talk about lots of things other than my health)

This is proving to be an interesting week.
Yesterday called to see the status of my new replacement printer. The company has had the order for a week now and since we are heading out of two for a few days, wanted to see when it was being delivered. So aftr 42 minutes of holding, I called back and waited another 15 minutes for a rep to answer my call only to find out that they will have any of my printer types in for shipping before Friday ( My contract with staples says all transactions will be completed within 10 business days which would be the 26th) and there is no way it will get to me by the 26th. So had to call staples where after getting the run around, I talked to someone, who took a lot of notes and then told me that the other company was definetely out of contract my 1. not informing them of the problem when they knew on the 12th, 2. my telling me I had to call staples back to let them know of the problem and not finding a replacement of equal value and shipping it to me, 3. Not getting the item to me within the contract period.
So, this poor guy had no authorization to talk to the other company about this, and his boss was on vacation so an email had to go to his boss's boss to have someone at Staples work out this issue. Of course that will take another 72 hours which really means my contract was not honored and they have to then figure out the best way to deal with it.
In the meantime, I print out (when I can) copies that are in yellow ink even though my other cartridges are there - sometimes get lucky and a copy does come out in back in.
Then last month I placed an order on amazon.com with express shipping so I can get it within 2 days. I did it within the companies guidelines so that it would leave CA that Friday afternoon and I would receive it on Monday. Unfortunately after the order was placed I called to verify what was on their website and was told it would not go out until late Monday afternoon and would go priority mail even though I paid for express mail. I was furious and was then told I could not cancel the order. In the meantime, we found the part I ordered here in Greenville. The part I ordered arrived Thursday Jun 17 and I returned it the next day as refused, return to sender.
Two weeks after it was sent, I started asked through amazon.com about my credit. Woman from the company told me it would take 2-3 weeks. In the email and the phone conversation I said I wrote refused on the package.
Yesterday I tried a third time. Now I get someone who tells me that because I wrote refused they are going to charge me the postage back and btw (first time hearing this) a 20 percent restocking fee. Now she had to go downstairs and look through all the envelopes marked refused, fine mine and then issue my credit.
This morning my credit has gone from 64.50 to 45.36. Needless to say I am not happy about any of this. I could not cancel the order the day I submitted it even though they did not ship for 72 hours after it was received and I get penalaized for it.
Now when I order from any place on the amazon site, unless I check them out on the phone first will find another company to deal with.

I have seen this on several of my teams where members can no longer do polls because they are not adding any more polls to the system. So when I had another question, I also wrote SP on this subject.
My question is Also when will you be adding more polls or allowing the system to reset itself the way you can with the articles.
Notice the resting the words" resetting the system the way you can with the articles>"
We do not allow resetting of the polls at this time, but we do try to add a few more every week or so. As far as the articles are concerned...
1. Click on the Account/Email Preferences link (located on the top left of your Start page).
2. Scroll down to the section titled "Reset Articles."
3. Click the "Reset Articles" button.
You can now read the articles again and get more Points. Resetting your articles will keep the SparkPoints you earn for previously reading articles. You will lose the checkmark and "read" notation next to any articles in the Resource Center that have been reset.
PLEASE NOTE: This will only allow you to re-read articles you read more than 6 months ago; articles you have read less than six months ago will not be reset. Also, you must be a member of SparkPeople for at least 6 months for the Reset Articles section to show up on your account preferences page.
I hope this helps!
In the future this, and other answers, can be found in our Help section, linked at the top of every page of the site
Is it me or do they not read the questions and the answers are automatically computer generated. I dislike getting answers where I have already stated the obvious to a person.
Last week was the first week in months, I actually did see two new polls and those took forever to appear.
This blog most likely will be taken down by SP but for those like me who would like to see more polls on a regular basis, perhaps more should write in and ask.

This morning, without thinking about it, I rolled out of bed to help hubby find pants for our trip this week.
Seems that as I have been shrinking, he was been gaining weight. All those 36 waists are now 38's and after going through 23 pairs of pants, only 3 fit. So it is off for me to pick up more dockers for him. It is easier for me to do this without him only because he HATES shopping and will slow me down the rest of the day.
When I get home, I am fixing beef b'gnnaise with the onions, mushrooms and red wine for dinner. Granted I am most likely not going to eat any of it, it will be a nice treat for hubby and my son.
