Cheery, Cheery, Cheery!

As I was about to write this blog, a sweet Carolina Wren gave me the title: Cheery, Cheery, Cheery! Its call is how I'm feeling this morning as I'm crawling back from "falling off the wagon." If ever I questioned the value of going to SP on a daily basis, the absence of my computer for 2 days, and the resulting failures from not tracking my food has told me clearly that SP is a MUST EVERY DAY. Becky's talk on "Happy Weight" this morning made good sense to me because even though I haven't lost the weight as quickly as I had hoped, I am feeling more energetic, more motivated, and just happier about life than I have felt in a long time. As I am putting everything together with the help of the SP staff, I'm looking forward to the day when someone says, "You've lost weight, haven't you?" I think that day will be coming soon!

SparkPeople is an amazing, comprehensive program with a phenomenal staff!!! The guides that I receive from them keep me coming back to begin a new, exciting, and fulfilling day. When I fall down one day, my first thought is to beat myself up as I did in the past. But it's only a flash, the beginning of a thought that immediately is replaced with this is a new day--a new opportunity to move on. Birdie's encouragement to be positive, Meg and Becky's help with nutrition, Nicole's awesome videos, and Chris' inspirational talks have brought new SPARK into my life. THANK YOU ALL for bringing a renewed energy and joy into my life!!! Blessings on all of you! emoticon

Workout Plan

Nicole Nichols is becoming one of my very best friends! Beginning last week and so far this week, I've been working on Nicole's "NO REST DAYS" fitness plan. I printed out the plan when she presented it on the 17th and have been following it each day, using her videos (when I can get my computer to work!), the myriad of online demos, and walking my dog Patches for part of the cardio. I love the variety that works into the plan that keeps me from getting bored. I try to do 20 min. of strength and 20 min. of cardio each day. It's been so helpful that I don't have to do it all at once but can find 10 or 12 or 18 min. videos that I can work in during the day. It's working because I have lost a lb. since last Saturday when I began the program!!!!!!! emoticon You're Awesome Ms. Nicole!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aha! Here it is on a weekend, and I've checked into Spark People, and even Blogging. Woo-Hoo!! Now all I need to do is work through my food and fitness programs and finish off the day back on SP. I can do it! I love the motivational talks with Spark Guy and Nicole; they really help me a lot to stay motivated and keep me going. Thanks Guys!

Does anyone else find it difficult to go through the Spark People routine on weekends? I need to get to the point where I treat it like any other day. I'll work on it! emoticon

  Weekends throw me for a loop foodwise...which means I need to be extra careful. Wish I had a solution, but it's the same every weekend. emoticon
