... makes you wonder.
Is it worth it?
We have to have fun in our lives. Course we do. Who'd argue against that? But what price fun?
Today I was at a Mountain Biking race event. One of the blokes came off somehow and was removed by rescue helicopter. Possibly very bad. Don't know.
I worry about hubby (who does this kind of thing). In some respects I don't mind the idea of him dying - apart from the obvious big bad with that, at least he'd have lived a full life and done things he loved, etc. What bothers me is crippling himself. Obtaining some sort of permanent injury that massively affects our lives.
Brain injuries are not to be mucked about with. Sure, they wear a helmet, but when you hit a tree flying off the track, is that really enough?
Sometimes I think we're better off cotton woolling ourselves inside and doing nothing, anywhere, ever. It's certainly safer.
That's obviously silly. But where's the line?
