Half a pound left

Thursday, July 19, 2007

Almost at my half-way mark. I actually did make half way on Wednesday, but it was an anomaly dip in weight that evened back up again on Thursday and official weigh-in today. It's kind of disappointing because my goal line was 93.7 by today, and I got 94.0. It's annoying that I got there early in the week (93.6) but went up again! Oh well, that's why they say not to weigh every day. It rarely happens like that though. I've been weighing every day since the start and it usually shows a slow and steady loss all week, perhaps an up on Mondays for some reason, but otherwise a constant decrease. So it's a bummer to see that number and then lose it.

But I will see it again! Only 300 grams to go!

Personal Trainer

Sunday, July 15, 2007

Today I'm starting a new regime. I'm thinking of trying out being a personal trainer for a living, so I'm trying it out on me first. I've done a questionnaire and filled it out and made some recomendations to self based on it. No major changes from what I'm doing, but it's more about the whole life than just diet, so it'll be interesting to see where this leads.

No change

My sausage roll yesterday didn't make me gain weight, but I haven't lost any overnight, either. Still 94.8.

At least it's a lesson that a few slips isn't going to seriously blow out all progress thus far! LOL

Today I screwed up

Thursday, July 12, 2007

Well, the heading is to get your attention.

People sometimes think that if they have just one chocolate bar or one small piece of cake or whatever, the diet's shot to hell. Well, we'll see.

Today I had a small sausage roll and a large buttered scone (biscuit, for the Americans). With my planned evening meal, this will still put me within Spark's range for the day. Weigh-in day is tomorrow, so we'll see if it has any effect.

Current: 94.8kg

Sometimes we just gotta give in... and it's ok we'll forgive ourselves and get back on track. Good Luck :)

Success breeds success

Thursday, July 12, 2007

Wow. I checked my page today and found heaps of new comments from people. Thanks to all! It is awesome to think that I'm inspiring others. When I started I would look for people whose tickers were half way or more along, read their page, and find motivation there. I never really thought I'd be in that position myself, but it seems that some are finding strength themselves in seeing my progress. If I have helped anyone at all, I'm glad for you!

To all you who don't like having photos of your 'fat' self - take a photo now! You can hide it away, you don't have to share it, but isn't it really impressive to look back on the progress made? I can tell you, if I didn't have my before photos, I don't know whether I'd have come this far! Take your photos and then hide them. Bring out again when you've made heaps of progress.

They say success breeds success. I saw other people's success and thought "Well maybe I can do it do". I'm showing success and breeding that same thought in other people's minds. Eventually, those people will show success and breed that thought even further in 2008's newbies.

As well as that, having gotten this far makes me really want to keep going! Every single day I feel more and more like I really can get down to that goal weight, because I've done so much already. Success breeds success within me, ongoing.

Gee, I hope I do make it now, after saying that! ;)

You are one of those people raising success now! I am going through pages to keep inspired that it can be done. I have started out great before, had a few speed bumps and got way off track. Thank you for your page- it is a way you are supporting people you may never know!
