So I haven't been blogging for awhile. I'm still working out, eating well and life's continuing, it's just that I got lazy. Yup, no other explanation than that! I've actually detached myself from everything electronic for a good bit. Felt good! I'm still kind of in the detachment mode but thought I would pop in and share some things that are going on!
My boys had an absolute blast for Halloween. My youngest kept saying that it was his best day ever. :) Now mind you, for the 5 years he has been alive, so far he has had 8 best days ever apparently (they all fall either on a holiday or his bday..) This is what they were for Halloween.
Friday, I finally received my Polar Loop! I've been wearing it all day today and I have to say, I like it! There are some things that I don't like, but overall, I'm quite pleased. I used my heart rate monitor this morning with my workout and the loop and the monitor worked beautifully together. Love seeing my actual burn rather than an estimated burn. My goal for the next 2 weeks is to burn at least 2000-2500 calories total (that's an all day burn and not an exercise only burn) and get in 1800 - 2000 calories. I'll also aim to get in at least 10,000 steps minimum.
I love the fact that the loop is waterproof and you can actually wear it in the shower if you want to. Plus, you never have to worry about it getting washed accidentally cause you wear it on your wrist. I have fairly small wrists but the loop fits just fine on my wrist. And with the sleep tracking capability, it shows that I have slept 7 hrs and 24 mins last night which is pretty accurate. I missed tracking things when my FitBit broke but now I can get back to counting steps and calories burned!
Can't believe it's November already. Remember this Sunday is Daylight Savings time so set your clocks back an hour! Hope everyone has a beautiful, fun weekend!

This morning's workout was TF HIIT 25 and yoga. Nice combination. Get my heart rate up and then bring it back down with some zen. :) However, I will say today my coordination and flexibility is not all there. I have this annoying sinus congestion which affected my yoga, but still got through the moves.
Yesterday I placed my order in again for Bountiful Baskets and I can't wait to see what I get this time! Also ordered 2 basketball size pumpkins and an order of bread (5 loaves to be exact). Saturday can't come soon enough! With the pumpkins, we'll do our carving and use then bake the seeds. Can't wait. So far, this is what we have for our Halloween decoration.
We also have a frankenstein which is the green deflated thing in the back. :P

As the weather gets colder, it becomes harder to get out of bed in the morning to workout. The warm bed is so tempting to stay in. However, somehow I managed to roll out of bed to get my workout in. This morning I did Insanity Core Cardio Balance and a 5 mile run. I love Core Cardio Balance cause it works you but it's not super hard. Plus, the thigh and shoulder burners at the end is fun for me. :P Afterwards, I ran w/ a friend for 5 miles. It was a nice slow run. I found out that if I can run while holding a conversation, that's about a 10 - 10:30 pace. If I'm gasping for air every 5 words or so, that's about a 9 min pace. So as long as I have a running buddy, I can determine my pace w/o a device lol. Overall, another good workout day.
I can't believe next week is the end of October. Where has the time gone? Between now and next Thursday, got lots of activities planned for the kids and meet ups w/ friends. So much to do, so little time! Yesterday, my husband and the kids finally setup the yard for Halloween. We are kind of late, but better late than never, right?
Anyhoo, gotta run so this will be a short post. Today's menu is:

I'm back home now from my friend's wedding. Had a wonderful time. Met up with some friends that I haven't seen since high school and had a great time getting ready with the girls. The dreaded dance was pretty much as bad as I thought it was going to be lol. Wasn't prepared whatsoever so for the 15 secs our song played. My partner and I kind of awkwardly danced and then went to our table. The song was actually supposed to be longer but my groomsmen and I just kind of left so the DJ had no choice but to move on to the next song. I had a glass of wine prior to, but yeah, that didn't help any. Didn't get to take a lot of pictures cause I didn't have my phone w/ me all the time. My husband said I'm going to get kicked out of the Asian club cause I'm bad w/ taking pictures lol. :P Here is one pic I remembered to take after getting all dressed up. The dress (which you can't really see in the picture) fit looser compared to when I tried it on last month which is awesome! Well, not so much for last night but overall cause it shows some progress I have been making. I think nonscale victories are the best. :)
Overall, great time was had but I'm glad to be back home! This morning I woke up and did P57 Full Body Express and yoga. Great combo!
My eating yesterday wasn't all that bad. Ate well all the way up to dinner, and actually the only "bad" thing I had was 2 glasses of wine and a piece of cake which I didn't finish. I also concluded last night that I really don't like to drink. My body processes alcohol weirdly in that I can get buzzed, drunk and then hungover all w/in 1 hr. So with 2 glasses of white wine I got buzzed (which wasn't bad), didn't really get drunk but definitely got a headache afterwards. Yeah, not worth it. Plus, I get really really red after 1 glass of anything so that's never a good look. My hubby thinks I'm allergic to alcohol which may be true!
