Slim 4 Life

Thursday, June 13, 2013

I have been hearing a lot of radio ads for a company called Slim 4 Life. I am located in Dallas, so I don't know where else the commercials are playing, but I know they have locations in other states (Kansas, Missouri, etc.) Anyway, I decided to check out their website and signed up for a free consultation. What have I got to lose? WEIGHT!

I am curious - are there any Spark Friends out there who know anything about Slim 4 Life? What can you tell me?

Thanks - I appreciate the feedback!

I just started slim for life. I am in Plano. No doubt it works but it is very expensive for all of the supplements. I have also been gluten free for a year and can only use a small number of their "snacks". I also have also avoided a lot of soy and all artificial sweetners but decided since I had made the financial commitment I would do it short term and lose the weigh then detox. Now my joints are all inflamed and I can barely walk. Just started this morning after adding in all of the required elements after the "prep phase".Not the centers fault but there are so many chemical additives to all of their stuff, it is crazy. And they do not give money back for unopened products.

If you are interested in having a Plano person for support feel free to email me. Always on the lookout for support buddies!

I would be very wary of places like this. You can learn to eat well on here and other websites for free. I would begin by checking the Better Business Bureau to see if there are any complaints.

I have never heard of Slim 4 Life but do allot of research before putting out any $$$$. The best way to be slim for life is by changing bad dietary habits for good ones + physical activity.

She Did It! :)

Tuesday, June 11, 2013

I am back at Sparkpeople after a five-day vacation. I took time off from work to attend my oldest daughter's graduation and throw her a graduation party. I still can't believe she has graduated high school!

She has been working since January as a hostess for a restaurant near where we live. So far she has saved $400. She received another $1200 in graduation gifts, so now she has $1600 to put towards her first car. We went out looking at used cars yesterday. She saw a couple she really liked. We have to take my father-in-law back with us to check the cars for mechanical issues (and he is better at haggling with the salesmen!). She could have a car by next week.

Now she is looking for a second part-time job to work for the summer to save up even more money. She applied at Freebird's Burrito restaurant last night. Then, in the fall she will start at Le Cordon Bleu in Dallas. She is aspiring to be a pastry chef and one day open her own bakery. She has had this dream since she was in middle school. I am so proud of her!

emoticon It is great that your daughter is willing to get out and work hard for what she wants in life. So many young adults don't. I can tell how super proud you are and you have every reason to be. My oldest daughter is 13 but she's talking about going to Culinary school in the future. She loves to cook. Best wishes to your daughter for her future and achieving her dreams.
