Wicking

Wicking fabrics should be worn next to the skin as they pull moisture away from the body and keep you cool.

HAVE A GREAT & SAFE HOLIDAY WEEKEND SPARKERS!!!!!

P90X2 commences next week!!!

Yes! And bras made of wicking material are amazing - definitely a must-have for exercise (and everything else).

LOOOVE it when everything is sync!!!!!

Thursday, August 30, 2012

As some of you know this is my rest week between completing P90X Plus and starting P90X2. Rest week to me is pretty much staying away from weights. Today was P90X Yoga X day. For those of you that have been around SP for a while know that I LOVE Yoga X and HIGHLY encourage it.

I experienced one of those workouts where you are focused and in the zone and everything is going perfect. Form was right on and I had all the energy in the world. I was disappointed in myself on Monday for my results from P90X Plus. I decided to get back on track and do what I know to do. Logging all my nutrition and making sure I am on track with that. No more falling into temptations. When I am doing what I am supposed to do, I can see and feel the difference in my body. That is a HUGE motivator for me! I have a goal to achieve and I intend on making it this year!

During Tony Horton's Beachbody Coach video conference call yesterday, he gave his opinion on the difference between P90X2 and Beast. He said something to the fact of, "do you want to look strong or be strong?" I have been struggling for a while on deciding really what my goals really are. During that video conference I decided that I wanted to be strong. Not just look strong. I want to be healthy and live a healthy life.

Changing subjects here, for those of you that are doing workout programs like P90X, Insanity, and Chaleane Xtreme, be aware that there will be some days you will feel stronger and some days will not be so good. Don't be so hard on yourself. For example, in P90X, you are tearing down your muscles for 6 days a week for 3 weeks before you get a rest week. Don't feel bad if your 3rd week seems like it is worse than your first week. Remember your muscles are tired and need time to recover. If you need a self motivator, do the workout after you have rested for a couple days and you will see how far you have come along.

Keep on pushing play!!!

Way to get back on track! Enjoy this week. I also love Yoga X. I hated it at first but found that I really enjoy it because it includes all the aspects of yoga that I love, hip openers, balancing, inversions. emoticon

Comfort

Comfort is king with workout clothing, if youíre not comfortable you will not get a good workout.

I would also have to add the way your clothes look also have a mental impact. I personally don't want to look like a dork when I workout, LOL. Maybe its just me, but I do care about how I look. No, it doesn't have any affect on how much I can lift or how many push-ups I can do, but I still care about how I look.

All eventualities

Going for a jog outside? Make sure you have the right kit for rain, sleet and snow!

I would hope everyone does this, but you never know.

Yep, today I started my day at 6:30 a.m. jog outside. Still kinda dark so I had on the most BRIGHT pink shirt you could think of. I want the people driving the cars and trucks to see this slow moving old lady! : )

Music

Make sure you have your favorite music with you when you workout.

I am not used to listening to music when I run or workout, but since
I purchased a Droid 4, I love it! I plug it into my treadmill and run.
Iím not sure if I would like to run with it on my arm. It is kinda big.
Iím going to buy an arm band and try.

I kept my iPod Nano for workouts and use my iPhone on the train or in the car. The smartphones are too big for me to use working out. The only exception is when I'm on my bicycle I set the GPS tracker and let it go. Working out with DVDs has gotten me away from working out with music although sometimes I would like to drowned out the sound of Tony's cheesy jokes.
