Help! I lost control!!! My husband and I went to a delicious Italian lunch with our college daughter who is home for Spring Break. I entered the restaurant with good intentions. However, my eyes were bigger than my stomach! We ordered an appetizer, first course of pasta, and then a porterhouse steak to split. Wow! Also, I dipped everything in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For dessert, tiramisu. Why not? When I have eaten that much, why not indulge and have my favorite dessert in the whole world?
Then the guilt set in...my husband and I started talking calories and points. Our daughter pointed out that on holidays you can't count calories. However, we did count calories as soon as we got home on our Spark Nutrition Counter. Yikes! I was way, way over my daily calorie amount. So was my husband. We tried to minimize the damage by recalculating the portion sizes on the Tracker. Still over our calorie count! If it counts for anything, we did take a 50 minute walk to the restaurant and home again. Tomorrow is a new day...and there is always room for sugar free green jello tonight. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
