Vacation Calories?

Next week my husband and I have a week off school. We are going to meet our son for a trip. There will be many tempting restaurants with fattening food. We teach overseas, so this will be a high calorie week. There aren't any Starbucks where we live or American restaurants. We will be going to be faced with daily menus with lots of high calorie items. We also plan on walking a lot around the city in the freezing rain and snow. Hopefully, the exercise balances the food intake. I am scared to step on the scale when I return! emoticon

    I think just being aware of the fact that you have to step on the scale when you return will help you to make wise choices yet still enjoy yourself. Have fun and enjoy a little piece of the USA while you can :0)

I lost 10 pounds!!!

I stepped on the scale after 4 weeks on SparkPeople today. I was so happy to see my weight. It is working slowly but surely. I find myself going for walks just to burn calories and then I feel better. It is getting easier to find healthy food each day. I also find that my sugar cravings are getting less and less!!! This is my second time on Spark and I highly recommend it to everyone. It works! emoticon

    Thanks for the encouragement. You have your hands full with 3 cute little children. When my children were small, I used to eat all their leftover meals. That was a bad habit. You get lots of exercise naturally taking care of your children. Be strong and you can do it! emoticon

Another week...another calorie

Yea! I lost weight again this week! After four weeks on SparkPeople, I have lost 8 pounds! I can notice that my clothes are getting looser. This is my second attempt to lose weight on SparkPeople. My first attempt started four years ago and was very successful. Then I gained it all back and more. I am ready to lose again and gain friends from the Spark Community! They are a great support and inspiration!

    Congratulations on your return. What I love is that Spark People is here when you are really ready and even when you are ready but not too sure it's forever. Learning to change your life takes time and getting to know other Sparkers and working on the habits is so much easier with their support.

Mostly I love that it is fun to Spark!
