Trying to keep up with the Kardashians!

Saturday, March 22, 2014

OK, not the younger ones, but I have a lot in common with Kris the mom and grandma!

1. I have a new grandson too! His newborn photo is below and I will be visiting him for the first time in Europe where he lives! Maybe I will be invited to Kim's wedding in Paris.

2. I have another grandson who is 18 months old and I can't wait to see him in June! He lives in LA kind of near the Kardashians.

3. I work full time too and juggle my daily responsibilities without a staff.

4. I am trying to exercise more and eat healthier without a trainer.

5. I have a cleaning lady...but only half a day a week.

6. My child is getting divorced, but it didn't make People Magazine.

7. My husband wants to grow his hair longer, but he is way handsomer than Bruce.

8. I have my own reality TV show going on daily with a lot less drama than the Kardashians. I will consider any offers from E! TV and will be happy to sign a contract. Filming can start tomorrow!

How can I get back on track?

Saturday, September 28, 2013

What are my motivators?

1. My grandson just turned one! I want to see him graduate from college.

2. I want to eat healthy food and get healthier.

3. I want my clothes to fit again.

4. I want to run for longer times and exercise regularly.

5. I want to reduce stress and enjoy life.

Pick one thing to work on then slowly add another. It won't be so overwhelming as when you try to do it all at once. Good luck.

Thanks for the support! I looked at your list and I think I'll take my Macy's coupons out for a spin before the summer is over. A new outfit might just help me feel more prepared. I enjoy the positive energy you share. It is contagious!
Fondly,
Nancy

Positive Thinking Can Be Hard Sometimes...

Friday, March 22, 2013

I am writing a Positive Blog even though I am going to complain...

1. My job has been stressful lately. The positive side is that Spring Break is in one more week and I need it so de-stress!

2. I am training to run in a Half-Marathon for the first time. Today I had to run my farthest ever on my practice schedule...and I wanted to quit with 15 minutes left. However, I gave myself a pep talk and kept running. The positive side is that now I am happy I did!

3. I am not losing weight as quickly as I want to on the scale. The positive side is that I am feeling healthier and my clothes are fitting better.

There is a positive side to every negative!

Congrats on the half marathon training! and not quitting when you wanted to. You are capable of more than you are capable of......I read a quote: You"ve only got 3 choices in life: give up, give in or give it all you've got! I think it's going to be my new mantra! I'm ready for spring break, too. I work at a high school and they are all getting squirrelly for break...makes me tired and crazy. C'mon spring break. Good luck with all your training! I wasn't losing weight fast enough running and I added strength training....kind of a cardio strength training...and it made a huge difference. Just a thought.
