These are great pictures! I sure have enjoyed watching the Olympics! I've been glued to the Women's Gymnastics Fab Five, including Gabby's winning smile. Also am in awe of Misty May Trainor and Laura Walsh in the Women's Beach Volleyball;. Of course, watching Michael Phelps is just unbelievable! I wonder if Mark Spitz was watching and what was he thinking?

Imagine well...

Friday, July 27, 2012

I love this quote from Albert Einstein: "Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere."

It's important for me to remember that seeing my future and framing all that is to come to me in positive ways is not only helpful, but critical to my success and happiness over time.

Thanks Einstein...you really are!

Be Kinder Than Necessary...

Sunday, July 08, 2012

I saw this quote on a little plaque at a coffee shop in Silverton, Oregon when we visited the Oregon Gardens. (I know. I know. I WILL post some pictures soon. I've just been in a whirlwind lately and haven't had a chance to do this yet. Something to look forward to.) Back to the quote. Be kinder than necessary. Imagine if each person did this, each city, state, religion, blogger, talk show host/hostess, banker, country, employer, employee, corporation...What if?!...

I checked further on the origins of this thought and found that Plato said this long ago "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." So, Sparkers...listen to Plato and when you are being kinder than necessary to those you meet save a chunk of that same kindness for yourself.

Enjoy the journey!

I love that quote. This is a world of entitlements. Complaints abound. Kindness would make everyone's lives better.

Tudi....I have heard quotes like this and often thought the same thing.
For years I have told my daughter to remember that other people have their own struggles....and today might just be a bad day for them. Don't always be the judge.
Wish we could all think like that.
You are so right....imagine the world filled with kinder thoughts.
Love your blog!!!

I love the quote. It seems to me that happy people are always kind. Stressed people are so busy trying to solve their problems that they aren't aware of others. I make an extra effort to be nice to them. Sometimes the simplest act or comment is the hightlight of their day.
