My Pedometer Drown Today

Saturday, March 27, 2010

I carefully brought my Omron pedometer on my Spring Break with the kids and grandkids. I thought that even though I wasn't using my Wii Walk It Out that I'd still log my Walk to Rivendell challenge miles with my pedometer info instead. Well, it didn't take me long to kill the pedometer. I had it tucked in a pocket of my swimsuit. Without thinking, obviously :-), I went into the pool with the grandkids. Fifteen minutes later, I remembered the pedometer. It doesn't swim well. I took it apart, dried it out, put it back together...and it doesn't work. Just flashing numbers that can't be adjusted. It's non-responsive. Oh well. Next time I'll look for a waterproof pedometer. Who knew I'd need one that can swim too!.

Patience is the key...

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

I'll be away from my Wii and Walk It Out until April 7th. I plan on using my pedometer each day and will record my distance using this information. Also, I have temporarily aggravated an old orthopedic injury to my left knee. This is something I'll need to accomodate over the next few weeks. But, with time and good treatment, I should be back on track soon enough.

Patience is the key. Steady as she goes.

Walking on Sunshine!

I love the Wii Walk It Out game. It took me a month to complete my first island to perfection. I had the settings on easy and no penalties. I started on my second island and am doing it on the Normal setting with penalties. I love this game and it gets me up and stepping everyday.
