M.I.A.

Saturday, June 15, 2013

I've been M.I.A. for an extended period of time. I check the site every now and again, but I have not blogged a word or visited the message boards. I have no other excuse but that I am embarrassed by the fact that I worked hard for 2 years to lose 50 plus pounds to put it right back on. I was 30 pounds smaller this time last year. I thought I found the connection as to why I was fat and what was holding me back from losing weight. I guess not. I need to reevaluate some things and get back on track. emoticon

I will keep you posted.

Anyone purchase and reading "The Spark"? I'm getting ready to start reading the book. I hope its a great read.

I was at Barnes & Noble today looking at some other books when I came across "The Spark", plus a couple of other sparkie books.

I just flipped through the pages. It's basically what we see here on the website. It's like some success stories and I think, if I am not mistaken, tells people what this website here is all about.

Hope that helps you. BUT check it out for yourself.

Time to Update

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Its been a couple of days since I've blogged. I have to say I have been working out everyday, but not tracking my food. It's always one or the other. I'm going to get this right because I plan to be down 2 pounds this week.

I'm proud of myself for my 6:30am workouts. I'm even doubling it up on some days. We will see. emoticon

Oh... Did I tell you... I attempted 2 of the P90X video's... Omg they are really challenging. There's no way one cannot lose weight following their program. My entire body was sore all last week. It's a little bit too challenging for me. I have screws in one of my knee, so it hurts during the workouts. Maybe it's my extra weight as well. Hold on... It's that another excuse I'm making.. Hhhmmmmm. Okay let me rephrase my statement, even if my knee hurts, I need to take more breaks, but complete the entire DVD. (now that sounds better) I don't want to waste money on another DVD series.

I know that with limitations it is hard to do some exercises. But the one thing that I can do is walk and some floor exercises, and using the stretchy bands. Those help too. Well, best of luck to you!

I have done the p90x for 55 days at which point I had a bad cycling accident and needed to stop for 2 wks when I tried to get started again it was summer and I would rather work out outdoors. They do make you feel really strong and a sense of pride getting thru the hr and a half of work out but I will worn you...I did not lose weight. I did not do the nutrition guide/ diet that comes with the program. I actually gained 3 lbs. They say this is normal the first 6 wks as you build muscle. Not what I was looking for. I wanted to tone and lose weight. I wish that the studio where they produced the dvds were mixed up a bit changing the environment...have a few taped outdoors or something because it does get boring watching 90 min of the same studio 7 days a wk.

If you put your mind to it you can do it. like I said it feels good when your done. just take photos to see how your body is responding because the scale may get you discouraged for the first month or so. I lost about 8 inches around my body in the 55 days I was able to do it. I may try it again now that the weather is getting cooler..I am having surgery in Jan. so I wont get 90 days in again but still a good work out.

Good Luck...just keep pushing play!!!

I like new challenges and they would not be challenges if they were easy at the start. Very good plan to take breaks. I like that. Hurray for the morning workouts. I KNOW it seems like one or the other so often for logging or exercising. I used to have favourites to pck from to make the process faster. I have been eatind differently so it is taking longer. Hmmm. Good blog for me to read. Thanks, Justyna
