7 minutes very brisk walking
4 minutes abs work.
30 incline push ups
25 reverse flies with 3 pound weights.
Food logged for today and tomorrow.
Drank a lot of water.
Got it done today, Hope you did too.

Wednesday is pretty much in the books. I logged all my food for
today again, and logged most of my food for tomorrow again too. Walked for 6 minutes and
rode the exercise bike for 35. Did a short abs video too. Well... going to have a quick snack and
then off to bed. Really tired today. Glad tomorrow will be Thursday.

Back to School and still on track.

Went back to teaching today and was able to stay on track.
Did all my food tracking.
40 minutes on the exercise bike.
5 minute ab workout-one I found on youtube with no getting on the floor.
Getting up off the floor after two knee replacements=not fun, at least not yet anyway.
5 minute brisk walk in the backyard per the Spark beginner guide to walking.
I have all my food except whatever veggies for tomorrow night already logged for tomorrow.
We are going to try a slow cooker salsa chicken Spark recipe tomorrow.

End of Spring Break so back to work

Tomorrow will be back to work for me. I've been off for a week for Spring Break.
I teach third grade and love it, but I'm a little worried I won't stick with my
routine of logging in all my food. I'm logging in some of it tonight to stay ahead.
I will ride the exercise bike in the morning for 30-40 minutes before school so
I should be ok that way. I'm doing a quick 6 minutes abs video with my wife in
the evening and hope to continue that. Bought some new walking shoes today and
can't wait until my shins feel better and I can get back to walking. They actually feel a lot better already. Have a good day tomorrow everyone.

    Sounds like you have a very nice job. I hope you survive those shoes. usually walking shoes doesn't mean walking. they are just for standing in, when you walk for exercise , or do a mile in shoes, you need the inside to be almost ortho-pedic. you could step in to a foot doctor right now, buy their expensive shoes, have him write you a prescription for them, and take it off your taxes. eva

Yesterday while walking my shins started to hurt. I haven't walked any sort of distance for many years. Bad knees will do that to you. Anyway, I looked at the Spark walking program and I think I started out too fast. I did over a mile 3 days in a row. It was just so fun to get outside and do something, I couldn't stop. No big deal, I'll just do the exercise bike for a few days until the shins feel better.

I have to remember it's going to be a long journey. My body fat per cent is in the obese range and my bmi is in the overweight range. Probably this is the worst shape I have ever been in. My wife says there was one other time, I was this overweight. She is awesome she said "You were able to do it then why not now?" I'm thinking yeah she is right why not? What a great partner I have. It took a long time last time, to get really in shape and I was younger then. A little daunting to try to think about the end result. So one step at a time me. Don't try to do it all in one day. I'm not going to give up this time no matter what.

I'm using the food tracker, drinking tons of water, and doing some exercise. So that's going to be my focus, not where I am at or where I am going. Though I think I will buy some new sweats in two weeks as a reward to myself if I do the food tracer and water every day . Good luck to everyone today and keep going even if you fall down for a day. Just get up brush yourself off, shake your head, chuckle at life's challenges and take that next step.

    I may go out and get some new walking shoes today. My wife thinks the shoes I have are probably not good to use since I was using them before the knee operations and are worn down in the way that I was walking before the operations. Before the replacements my knees were bowed and now they are straight.

    I never heard of shin splints hurting from knees! You need to run out, and get a lift for the heel of the shoes you wear, or buy some arch supports that are guaranteed to take pain away, not some of the bad ones in the drug store. try Dunhams. I have been exercising a long time, and that is part of the problem. the other part is that you have a nutritional displacement-some things wrong-either too much sugar, salt , unsure about fat. it's messing with how your bones or calcium is building in your body. too much caffeine, teas, & chocolate, and alcohol also does this. My Niki's always feel like I am getting spurs, that's because they are made strong on the outside, but have lousy arch's. eva

    I had a similar experience about 4 months after my second knee replacement. I decided to do the 3 mile walk for Arthritis, of all things. I could have gotten a ride back to the beginning of the circular route but "toughed it out." I put myself back about 3 months in recovery and have been regretting that Herculean effort ever since.
