Reflection on last 10 weeks!!

While reading over my blog on beginning of fall season, I am making my checklist of what I did or not do for this.

5 things that have held me back in the past

1. Lack of interest: I always start off strong and then slowly drop off.


*I found myself in a bit of a slide on week 7. Picked it up slightly in week 9 and going to finish strong for last week.*

2. Lack of accountablity/excuses: somehow the saying *today is another day* fits too often.

* Did alot better this challenge,,,being in a couple more competative sites has helped me out for this.*

3. Late nite snacking. This is my worst 1!!!

* While definately not perfect because of inner team challenges I limited *grazing* to once a week 2 at the most!! When football is on, everyone enjoys munching as much as I do. Is a good thing CFL is almost done that leaves thursday, sunday and monday nite lol.*

4. Overeating when I eat out or getting takeout instead of cooking supper.

* This was the easiest 1 to complete*
.
5. Lack of motivation: Especially on weekends. After working all week is so easy to take the weekend off instead of sticking with program.

* Having the *buddy system* this challenge was the best part!! Dee was such an inspiration, always came to rescue for motivation and support.


COMMITMENT

While I never completed my 1000 minutes for a week,,,, I did get 912. who knew that it would be so hard!! Looking back,,,, I cannot remember enjoying the BLC as much as this 1. emoticon

    Great job! I am so impressed with your 912 cardio minutes in a week, WOW. It looks like you have done a great job with your goals this challenge. Snacking doesn't have to be bad. As long as it is counted in and planned (even if the snacks aren't healthy), then I say go for it! I equate late night snacking with out of control, unplanned sitting and eating bad food for no reason. It is a particular downfall of mine, but we will overcome!

WINNING!!!! at losing!

Let me explain something 1st. I NEVER win at anything lol. Last May, Spark had a discount special for people interested in purchasing a Body Media. I knew a little bit about it from watching the Biggest Loser on tv so I thought what the heck,,, was cheaper then alot of other things I have purchased in the past and are all in a drawer collecting dust so what was 1 more gadget. A couple other people on our yellow team also got 1 and I bought 1 for mom.

Our illustrious yellow team leader DEb, told me about another 3rd party app called earndit that you can also join for free. It is an awesome site!!! Whether you have a BMF, a fitbit, or a smart phone you can incorporate any of these and literally get *paid* for working out. You accumulate points which you can use for purchasing merchandise or donate to charities which is fantastic!!! You also collect these little *trophies* of honor which to me is the biggest reward.

You can also join these other challenges that are sponsored from different companies and win lots of really cool prizes. Wait for it,,,,, I actually won something today!!! ME ,,,,,,,,,, who NEVER wins anything!!!

Feeling like an academy award winner,,,, I want to truely thank Spark people for giving people more outlets to keep us accountable for this journey we all are on to lose weight. To Deb, for being so knowledgeable to help her fellow teamies which struggle at times for losing weight and keeping at it, Dee my spark partner and the rest of the BL Yellow team, who keeps me on track and especially to EARNdit!! EXceptional site to keep people motivated and competitive!!! Especially for people like me,,,,, who have such a hard time keeping on track and accountable!!!

The one thing I am going to work on for this Fall challenge -

Committment: Working on this and finding it a bit easier thanks to BMF which I absolutely love!!! Going to increase activity and add more ST. I have a weeks holidays coming up and that week I am going to commit to follow thru. I want to have 1000 minutes for fitness.
