Hi Spark friends. I know there are a couple of you out there, although I do not have many. I recently tried to put myself out there and meet more people on this website. I realize even on the internet you can really meet some wonderful people.
It all started with me using the tools on the website almost three years ago. At that time, I asked friends and family to join sparkpeople so I would have "friends" out there. Most recently (since January), I made it a personal goal to begin meeting more people on the boards and try to post more often. Slowly, my friends increased. This isn't even the most exciting part! Last weekend, I got to meet some spark friends live and in person! They are all very special. I think it amazes me that I found real people from far away places that have common bonds and interests.
I have never written a blog nor have I ever planned to write one. In a way, I am an anti-blogger. My "blogging" has become a joke between me and my sister. I often say...when I write my blog about this...etc. etc. We just laugh knowing that I will never actually blog. Well, today I realize there is something that is blog worthy. Not just something, someone. Her name is Spark coach Nancy. Nancy is the light and sunshine you see everyday on this website. She is more than amazing with her encouragement and advice. She is one of those spark friends I had the privilege of meeting! Often, people are different in real life. She is not. This woman, our spark friend is exactly as you see her on every post, blog and friend feed. She is encouraging, smiley, full of love and energy. She is a real encourager and friend. Spark People has no idea the gift they have in her. She is real. She is bold. She is funny. She is a light. She is sunshine! I am so grateful to my sister who introduced us and shared her with me. I am so thankful for Sparkpeople to have brought us all together. Most of all, I want people to know, I found out that some friendships can make the non blogger actually write a blog.
I love you Tami and I love you Nancy!
