Coming along

Saturday, March 16, 2013

Things are coming along well on my whole 30. I've completed 14 days so I'm half way through!!!

Also part of whole30 is not tracking your calorie intake. The idea is that you eat all natural foods when you're hungry. As a result, I'm down 6 lbs.

Whole30 progress

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

So I took a peek and stepped on the scale and was pleasantly surprised to see that my weight has gone down.

I did the whole30 to see what effect diary was having on me. I now sense that it has been stalling my weight loss.

I've completed 9 days of the Whole30 and I feel so great! Amazing to also know that I don't have cravings. The only craving that I now have is for seltzer water-- crazy i know.

I also decided to sign up for a 5K. I feel that the only way I will ever complete one is to sign up for it and that will force me to train for it.

Very cool. I've decided to do a whole 30 starting tomorrow. I think it may be dairy for me too. Good luck!

Wow-- I'm Back

Sunday, March 10, 2013

I can't believe I've been away from spark people for this long.

Alarming to know that a year ago I was 20 lbs lighter and only 14lbs away from my goal weight, but I'm not going to kick myself : ).

I'm going to remain more focused this time around. I've found what helped me to lose the weight was tracking and journaling. It allowed me to keep myself accountable.

The good things that I committed to over the previous year was that I joined Crossfit and that I started eating Paleo. I'm about 80% Paleo and it's improved my life drastically.

Curently I'm doing a whole30 and one thing i have ot make sure is not to eat too much. Yes' there is such a thing as eating too much healthy food because a calorie is a calorie and it all adds up.

I'm going to calorie cycle and see how it works for me. Days that I work out I will eat 1700 calories and 300 g carbs. Days I do not work out, I will eat 1500 calories and 100 g carbs.

I can't wait for the day to wear a 2 pc swimsuit on the beach : )

It's a new beginning, a new day, a new year.

Last year I learned how to take care of myself. I learned if I make small changes and do so consistently, I can see big differences in the way I feel and look. I've truly learned it's not about being perfect but about making those baby steps that turn into giant leaps.

I am not one for resolutions but I will say that I am determined to continue to improve my health. I am determined to lose the weight and be the person on the outside that I am on the inside. I am determined to push myself and see amazing results and wow myself.

I will get down to my goal weight of 155 this year and I will start crossfit. The only thing standing between the goals and me is ME.

I am determined to be the best me!

finding me

I haven't written in a while and I believe doing so keeps me on track.
Thanksgiving was great and I ate! I gained 1 lb which I lost by doing extra cardio. The day after thanksgiving , I was back at the gym working hard. I felt so proud of myself, because it shows that I am officially committed to me.

When I started this journey it was all about being able to fit into a bikini, but now it's so much more than that. It's about knowing that I can do whatever it is I want to do.

On Friday I woke up with a cold and I was determined to get through it and work out and I did. I also starting take wheatgrass shots and wow! My cold cleared up in no time with wheatgrass- who knew!

I joined a december challenge to lose 5 lbs and I know I will do it.
