Yesterday, I finished Week 1 (I had "forgotten" to do it on Monday) beautifully! I felt so great on the TreadMill that I stretched that 1.5 mile-workout up to 3.3 miles = 70 minutes total and 626 calories burned!
Today, I walked the 25 minutes scheduled for W2D1 + some = a 45 minutes walk outdoors and soaking some vitamin D from that sun we don't get to see too often around here these days!
It snowed all night last night and my neighborhood was beautiful this morning!
Because it was not very cold (22F) I decided not to use the treadmill and to complete my One Mile Assignment (Walk Your Way to 5K) outside.
Oh, I wished I had taken my camera though!!! Nature was MAGNIFICENT!!! As my Daughter said the Snow Fairies had been busy all night... ♥
When I was done with my mile, I grabbed my camera at home and I spent ANOTHER HOUR out there taking pictures and walking up hills to get better shots!!!
When I had to face the hard reality that I probably shouldn't try running anymore I was desperate because I thought walking would be... bo-O-O-RING! (as my kids would say...)
To my surprise, I was not bored at all - not even close! I was in my neighborhood (places that I see everyday) and yet I saw BEAUTY all around me as never before.
What an eye opener (pun intended) that walk was!
I don't even remember being cold... As a matter of fact, when I got undressed back home, I was surprised to see that I actually cut a sweat!!!
Total time walking today 81 minutes!!!
