I recently went to the doctor because I have been extremely nauseous lately. I get this ridiculous migraine headache and a horrible body ache. I have also been very thirsty and always need something to drink. I also have a nagging pain in my abdomen area. I thought it would just go away, but then I began to worry. Diabetes runs in my family and I figured that is what was going on.
About a week ago, I went in to urgent care because I just couldn't the nausea. I was not able to eat and when I did eat, it just got worse. The urgent care doctor was not very receptive to what I was saying. When he was pushing on my stomach, he pushed on the right side of my abdomen which cause an excruciating pain! I told him that really hurt. So, he ran some tests. Did some blood work and brought me back into his office. Everything was fine he said. He knew, though, that I was having a problem with my gallbladder, but he didn't even do a test for that! I was so confused. Then he just sent me home and said that I was fine!
I told myself that I was worrying about nothing. Maybe I am just fine. But, I can guarantee that I have gallstones. I have every symptom and my mom told me that she has had gallstones and that the way I am feeling is exactly how she felt. I can barely eat anything without my abdomen hurting. It is unbearable. I have had three knee surgeries and I have never been in this kind of pain before. I was talking to someone and she told me that it is common in obese people to have problems with their gallbladders. I, however, am not obese. Yes, I am overweight, but I am not obese for my height. I didn't know what to say to that. I have a doctor's appointment again tomorrow, but I am just worried the doctor is going to say I am fine. I know I am not fine. Something needs to be done to stop this pain. It is making me miserable.
