US city

Thursday, August 15, 2013

Tomorrow is the first day of the US City Challenge through work. Yesterday's evaluation gave me a real age of 55, although I'm only 50 (only 50???). They say I can lose 10 years in the 8 week challenge. High point was doing 24 push-ups (top of the good range for my age group). I think my worse was flexibility, I'm not very flexible at all. I will have 8 weeks to work on it though.
I will try to give it my best. emoticon

what ever motivates you is good. Just don't get hurt or you will sit and not do anything for a while. Keep up the good efforts they will pay off.

If weight did not exist...

Monday, July 29, 2013

If weight did not exist, I would know I was getting healthier by noting improvement in my blood sugar readings, and being able to stop diabetes medication. Cholesterol numbers would improve so I could stop cholesterol medication. My depression would lesson so I could stop depression medication. My overall health would be so much better.

Motivation

Monday, June 10, 2013

After a lapse in the program I feel motivated again. I am beginning to understand that the road is not going to be smooth, but despite that, I must stick to the program to the best of my ability.

Excuses

Sunday, May 12, 2013

Mostly, after a long day at work, I don't want to go back out to exercise, but I have been doing better with the longer days. I need to stop listening when the couch/tv/bed, call my name. Usually, I will at least walk Java.
Another excuse, is I never know what to expect when I get home because of Jessica, things may be moved around, she may be having a seizure like the week before last, or she may have thrown away my things. Her odd behaviors tend to zap my resolve to do better for myself.

    Tomorrow is another day!

I always try to remind myself, I may not have made all the right choices, but they are a heck of a lot better than before I started getting healthy.
