Thursday, December 09, 2010

So much to do so little time.

Today was my cousin CHristopher's birthday...he would have been 35 had he not beem killed in a senseless accident-- was hit by a careless driver while he was riding his scooter home from work.

Fly with the angels now Chris

I hear your heart.....my cousin, who drove me to my Nursing graduation in 1967, was a fireman on board his ship (he was Navy)...he and another fireman, were attending to a boiler pipe, thinking it was turned off, was scalded to death...I pray quickly and without pain....still he was the first young person in our family to pass, he would be in his 60's today....Senseless for sure....for both of those fellas....

I will be so glad when...

Tuesday, December 07, 2010

We get our crazy Kitten Lucifurr fixed!! He is so full of .... hormones obviously! He will leave the room we are in and cry.. try to get outside, does drive by bitings and scratchings and beats up his brother. He tries to play with the female but she does not put up with that at all! But it is good having him around-- he amkes us laugh.

LOL!!! My Gabby just had her spay a week ago. Sometimes she'll jump off of things, sometimes she'll sit there and cry for me to come get her. I'll be glad when the next week has passed and the "cone of shame" comes off! Hopefully then she can jump again without my assistance! Oh the things we do for our babies!!! But, they do make us laugh!!!!

Wheeeeeeeeeee-- snow flurries!

Monday, December 06, 2010

Snow is so beautiful as it floats down from the sky! We had flurries off and on all day today and I was driving in it so it looked like more. Pretty to look at but you have to watch those driving around you because some people get freaked out! Also if it is on the ground, it makes walking more difficult-- so please my sparkies-- be careful out there at all times!

We don't get much snow in Georgia, but when we do, everything outside is so quiet and peaceful. I love listening to it.

Your attitude is positive and uplifting. I agree about the beauty of the snow, but often overlook it because as you have reminded us individuals surrounding us do not always practice safe habits. I also appreciate your timely reminder as the weather becomes colder. I am a warm/hot weather individual, and being cold most of the year results in my forgetting just what wonderful surroundings we are blessed with.

To Blog or not to Blog

Saturday, December 04, 2010

this is the question...

I know we see things out there that are offensive to obese people but I really don't think the images out there that make others laugh need to be seen here in blogs on spark.. I just saw some that were disturbing and I am sure the blog will be edited after my remarks are read. I prefer to empower obese people by showing positive images and speaking positively!

We can all achieve our goals... one bite, one day, one pound at a time. We are all worth the effort,

Isn't the truth?! You can say mean things against Christians, and the Obese, without anyone saying anything....yet....don't say ANYTHING against blacks, homosexuals, or the liberal left ideas.... Wonder why that is ?!

I am pretty sure I know who your talking about. I found that persons blogs in the past rather disturbing so I unsubscribed and removed as a friend. I like to be as positive as I can and don't want any weird stuff.

You're the second person I've seen who's blogged recently about people doing offensive things on Spark - the other person talked about negative comments on other people's blogs. Both are unacceptable, but from what I've seen it's gotta be about 99 percent positive around here. I'm sorry you came across the tiny minority of negative. :(
