Big storm coming and my daughter is supposed to fly home that day

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

I guess she will be in FL for a few extra days.. We just can not tell her Grandma as she will want her to go back to her house so she can get as equal time as my dad had with her, lol. My daughter's paternal grandparents as well as my dad live in Boynton beach FL and Tanya has been there for nearly 2 weeks now.

I miss her... her kitties miss her but the living room has been clear of her clutter the whole time!! Wheeeeeeeeeeee..

Tomorrow I am having lunch with a coworker while her car is being worked on as the dealer is down the street from my house. Nice thing to do so she wont have to sit and wait while it is worked on..

Sleep glorious sleep

Sometimes I just can not get enough.. other times I sleep and sleep.. i know what it is .. I know I have sleep apnea and that simple test will tell me... Why do we avoid those simple tests? Becuase we do not want to know the answer that is why!!! Grrrrr.. That is on my list

Get glasses
go to the dentist
bloodwork
sleep apnea test......

Too many tasks so little time

I was told I had sleep apnea. Go do what EKKING said-fit everything into one day! Take care of you, my friend! emoticon

I get sleepy if I eat too many carbs. And, lately, I love chocolate...too much!! Take care and I hope you get that test done soon.

My best friend just had a sleep apnea test recently. She said it was very pleasurable. The room was nicely decorated, she had a TV with all of the premium channels available, and she said the staff was so nice.

She wished she had done it sooner. She had put it off because she thought it would be a horrible experience.

Sounds like you could fit all of that into one day - a day off from work perhaps?

Move that sleep apnea test up to the top of the list. My DD recently did the sleep study and she does indeed have sleep apnea. She was fitted for the machine the other night and she said she could definitely feel the difference!

That's basically my list too. Ignorance is bliss. Somehow I feel like if I don't know for sure that I need glasses (or whatever) that somehow I won't have to deal with it . . . of course the blurry signs in the distance are getting harder and harder to ignore with each passing year.

Eventually we'll have to give in and go get all those simple tests, and then we'll wonder why we waited so long.

I knew I would be up at weigh in after the baby shower yesterday and I was grateful that it was only 8/10 of a pound.. could have been worse..

I had a calm day.. and a night of laundry!! UGH it can be tiring!

Skinny dreams all

Don't think of what could have been worse. Just do what you know to be right and that 8/10 of a pound will be gone in no time. Miss having you chime in on the morning FBS. Hope all is going well for you. emoticonDan

That's not bad when you think it should be worse, That is how I felt after thanksgiving I gained a little over a pound but all in all it was good because normally I would just have thrown all the tools out the window and saddled up t0 the trough. At least that was not the case at Thanksgiving this last year. Improvement comes slowly but progress does happen with steady usage of the spark tools. Keep up the good work emoticon Jeff

Wow, the dinner sounds delicious, but I think I'd also be dreading the scales. Still, I bet you don't do this very often, so hopefully there won't be too much damage to make up for. Get in some extra exercise and it's sure to help!

Hugs,
Lucky

Don't worry we all have these events that try to derail our focus.. just hop back into your routine...

Don't focus on emoticon alone. Go by how you are feeling as well. Even if you don't see what you'd like to see on that box in the morning, stay focused and know that YOU CAN DO THIS! Don't let it rule you and your journey!

Suggestion: weigh in tomorrow like usual, then weigh in on Sunday after a normal day's intake on Saturday, and see if there's a significant difference.

In any case...

Remember: any extra # on the scale is simply the weight of the food from the baby shower, and NOT a real gain in your body, okay?! (It doesn't work that fast.)

Hang in there. You will be fine. I know how you feel. One day will not make or break you. Tomorrow just mae sure you are on plan 100%.

I am going awy to my sisters next weekend. I am scared. I am not scared of eating over my ranges while I am away. I am mostly scared of not getting back on track once I get back.

Best wishes for you weigh-in. No matter what. You are a SUCCESS and such an inspiration to us all

It's going to be just fine, it usually takes about 48 hrs for anything to show up on mine, hope it's the same for yours ! Take care and don't worry to much about the numbers, after all they're just numbers.

You no the battle isn't won or lost over one bad meal. If it was my battle would have ended sometimes last week. You will do OK - don't drink too much water - water retention. Who has a baby shower on a Friday night? emoticon

Drink lots of water. If the scale isn't nice tomorrow, I would have to imagine that sodium plays a BIG part in it.

FATHOMGREEN 2/19/2010 11:21PM

You don't have anything to worry about. One meal shouldn't make too big of a dent. And even if it does, one disappointing weigh-in can't stop your great progress!

Good luck, and whatever happens, be proud of yourself for all you have accomplished.
