So hard to believe that time is going so fast

Monday, May 30, 2011

Really June already? It seems as if it was just January! Oh I am glad that the time is flying because as soon as August gets here, that means my Daddy will be here visiting for about a month! I look forward to his visit each year and I save my vacation time so I can take off to spend time with him! YAY!

**Yes I realize we have one day left but I work nights, lol

I can definitely relate...no parties for me either. I also work in the hospital and scheduled oncall this weekend. You never know how much or how little you will work. 16 hours Saturday and Sunday...Monday only 12! No complaints as I love my job. I'm been doing little projects around the house and consider myself lucky for having such a wonderful job. Happy Memorial Day and many blessings... emoticon

Silly kitties

Thursday, May 26, 2011

Tonight as I was going in to do laundry I heard quite the commotion in the laundry area.. Lucifurr the black 1 yr old kitty was on top of the washer looking into the drum and Nugget was inside-- Now was Luci pushing him in or pulling him out...we will never know BUT I think he was trying to figure out how to turn it on so he can bathe him, LOL!

I bet you do a double check on their whereabouts every time before you switch it on! Mine did a neat trick with the tall Ali baba basket. 1. Leap onto the not quite on lid,
2. Flip lid into air.3. Fall into basket, 4. Lid settled neatly on top! He didn't yell or anything. He settled down on the laundry and went to sleep, his brother sat on the lid and looked mournful.

YIKES-- still swollen~

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

I am supposed to get remeasured for my garments in the morning and I am too swollen-- I do not want to get measured and have them make them too loose.. plus I forgot to get a script from the Dr..oops! I know I have been good as I have been wearing my daily and my night (at rest) garments . Lymphedema is a pain and can be costly-- luckily my insurance pays the full cost of the daily wear ones and I am allowed to get them every 6 months (it has been 2 years since my last ones) BUT I had to pay in full for the night wear ones and it was over $1200.00 for the pair! Arghhhhhhhhhhh

Wow, that's expensive! But you kinda just have to bite the bullet and do it, because its something that you need.

I'm sorry you're so swollen. Hopefully once you get your prescription things will calm down a bit.

Wow, that's a lot of money! I hope you are less swollen soon and wish you all the best. I had to go get measured today for my hand garment. It was odd. I don't know if insurance will pay for it yet or not. Thinking of you! emoticon

Frustrating that the insurance is so inconsistent in supporting you. I know you're thankful for what they do offer, but it's not like the nightwear is optional!

I hope the swelling goes down soon so you can get measured, and I further hope that it stays down!

Darn this humidity-- ackkkk

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

So I left work this morning to very thick air... so hard to breathe-- and forgot I had a Dr appt at 915 with the pulmonologist-- had to get my cpap machine card read and get examined-- he is a great Doc-- he was a resident here at my hospital and I have known him since then-- he does not charrge me a co-pay! $30 more in my pocket is a good thing-- plus he gave me some inhalers so I will not need to buy them.

My daughter just called and said it was 85 degrees in the house so I let her turn on the central air-- so much for saving $30~
