I had two eggs, hash browns, ham and some light apple juice this morning/noon.
I think I feel full or something. Is that possible? I drank two glasses of the apple juice. So, maybe that is it. I also had this happen last night.
I made a stir fry and ate all of the brown rice with the vegetable topping and stir fry sauce. Then I felt stuffed. I only pigged out on it a little after I finished tracking the dish. I am curious to see if I will feel hungry all the time today or not.
On the subject of grocery shopping, I will be trying to figure out what I need to buy today. I might buy the fixings for beef stew though.
Left overs are still driving me nuts. I had pizza for dinner and then for breakfast yesterday morning. Since I am trying to eat a fourth of the pizza, I still have a little over one serving left. But, I am bored of pizza and besides my body gets crappy with me if I eat fattening foods too often. I guess I won't buy a whole pizza anymore even though it is a good price. Maybe I will go back to the small pizzas or just make my own. My Barbecue chicken pizza was pretty good.
Ramble over. Congratulations on managing to read all of this without giving up. emoticon

I tried to "burn" all of the assigned calories but couldn't do it. I can only do one minute of jumping jacks. I have to do that in two half minute sessions.
I ran up and down my apartment steps. I only lasted for two minutes. I am used to walking because I stand and walk a lot at work. But I can't seem to do much other exercise.
Why is it so hard to get the fitness tracker to say that I burned enough calories for the day? I only have it set to 45 minutes which is higher than where I started because I can't keep my calories below 1200 like when I had it at 30 minutes. How was I supposed to live on that?
I mean I need energy and spunk for work.

Just keep trying and hopefully it will get easier. I do very well during the day but when it gets dark I get hungry and my will power goes out with the sun. I'll eat everything I see. Hopefully we will overcome this too.

Worn out

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

I walked home from work on Monday. The map tracker on this website said that I walked at least 4.4 miles. I say at least because I didn't do markers for the end because my neighborhood's streets on just confusing to find on a map.
It is now Wednesday and I had trouble doing my cardio. I finally quit early today. I feel tired in my legs and arms right now. Can someone come over and do my dishes for me? HeHe!
I hope I'm not sore tomorrow because I need to be able to work and be energetic for work tomorrow. emoticon

WOW I am impressed. I do not believe I could have walked over 4 miles. I do good to do one or two miles and those are not all at one stretch. Where did you take the picture of the butterfly. It is beautiful. I like taking pictures of butterflies but I have never taking one that looked like that. Do you take many pictures? Are you a member of "Losing it with Photography." If not, I'd like you to join.

left over bananas

Sunday, January 24, 2010

I had some bananas that was starting to go bad. So, I sliced them up and put them in the freezer. I am having the most yummy strawberry and banana smoothie.
I also liked to eat frozen bananas with a little chocolate topping as desert.
I hope someone out there might enjoy one of these ideas for a yummy use for overly ripe bananas.
Oh, don't forget banana bread.

In the summer the frozen bananas make great treats on their own. And if you've got a dehydrator, tossing them in and drying them out makes them a great on-the-go treat for long hikes or skipping McSnacks.

left overs and grocery shopping

Saturday, January 23, 2010

I have left over spaghetti with chili, cooked chicken, spaghetti noodles, and barbecue beef little smokies. I have been wondering how long I can keep cooked chicken and the beef smokies. I enjoy eating a variety of foods and my body needs variety in order to get all the needed nutrients. But how long can I keep left overs?
On the subject of grocery shopping, I spent a lot of time today reading labels and other things. I am curious to know what other people use to put on waffles instead of syrup. I am annoyed by the calorie count but can't stand the thin as water "light syrups." I am buying different things than I used to.

I had to read your blog since I love food so much :) It just drew me in!!

For waffles I like to put peanut butter and cinnamon on them.... (and Cary's sugar-free syrup). I know peanut butter isn't the healthiest thing but it tastes so good on waffles and pancakes and then I eat less of them because I get fuller faster.
About leftovers... I just keep them until they smell bad, look moldy, or I've just had them a really long time. On that note - you really just have to judge for yourself - it depends on what the stuff is!
Good luck with your weight loss :) :) :)
