logging on is key

Thursday, January 10, 2013

Well i haven't been on for a while-i think due to Christmas and that, then just haven't been back on.

I tried to start the new year well, being healthy, exercising and did ok for a couple of days and then just gave up. I think the reason was that i was doing it alone and i find that i really need to log on everyday and chat to people or just record how i have done to keep myself accountable otherwise i feel that there is no point and i just give up.

So i am getting back on it and i will be logging on and hope to find some friends on here to help keep me accountable and make this the year that i find time to put into myself and loose some of this excess weight.

Log on daily ~ Goal met

Had a good day today, got out for a walk, with the kids on there bikes so i managed to walk a bit quicker with them today. They are back to school tomorrow so i am hoping to get out on the bike or go for a swim. I was actially under on my calories but i think they are set a bit higher as i was trying to burn 2000 calories a week but not sure i have made that this week anyway! I am really suprised that i am managing to stay in the lower end of the calorie range most of the time!

It's funny cause this time round i feel more like i want to get fit and healthy rather than focusing on the weighloss and scales - i know it's only been a week so far so we will see but i am really enjoying the variety of food and not feeling sluggish and guilty! I can't quite believe the difference that it makes.

overall feeling today: emoticon

Awesome goals and way to go with them! I need to get sit-ups or abs into my regime. I also I'm trying to get up at the same time everyday and I did so good through this weekend except today.

Keep up with the awesome work!

Slight worries for the weekend!

Friday, August 31, 2012

Well it's Friday, i am usually terrible with food and alcohol at the weekends so i am slightly concerned that will end up completely off track and struggle to get back on it. The thing is, i am not going to be as good at weekends that is just fact but if i can try to be a bit better and make better choices throughout the day maybe it wont harm too much!

I am thinking that with better week days and slightly better weekends i should still see a loss at the end of the week.

The thing i really don't want to do this time round is either try too hard at the weekend knowing the it wont be the best and then feel guilty and give up! I also enjoy my weekends and don't want to feel deprived so the way i am looking at it is i will not stay within my calories but i will be better and i will try to fit in some exercise, surely it wont all be too bad then! I hate feeling that i cant enjoy a meal or drink because i am trying to be healthy, maybe one day i wont want to drink too much and eat too many calories at the weekend but at the moment it's little steps!

I am hopefully going to go for a run this evening and then go swimming on Sunday morning so we will see how it goes, maybe i wont want to be too bad!

Tracey, I am on the same page as you. 🌻I have always tried to be so good during the week since I am usually a little bad on the weekends.

I am going to try and watch more of what I eat on the weekends and try to up the walking to make up what I eat extra. Like you I do enjoy the weekends and don't want to feel deprived.

You can stay on course Tracey but as Amy says you still have to enjoy. Try not to worry about anything and do your best. I too have trouble with the weekends as I need the routine of the weekdays to keep me on track so I am trying to plan out my meals for the weekend and track all my meals on SP. In the past I have not been tracking on the weekends.

I know exactly what you mean - I have to say I try harder during the week for this very same reason, and it generally seems to work. Just need to make sure you don't go too crazy at the weekends but still enjoy yourself! Also my husband and I try and get out of the flat for at least one walk over the weekend (as long as it isn't raining emoticon ) Good luck for this weekend and let me know how it goes! emoticon
