Ok today started off on a sad note... Yesterday was the worst day to watch the news. I learned that an old friend lost his wife to a gunshot while the son cried for help as she laid there and died... Three teens from my area was lost in a car accident while their mom was driving them to school... and a 10 yr old stabbed his sister... What more can I say, my heart was heavy, very heavy. I just wanted to lay in bed and snack all day, which I tried to do but I couldn't. I have worked so hard to eat it down the drain... So I woke up from my nap and did 1 hour of cardio... I mean, 1 hour of intense cardio. I am so proud of myself for not letting this day do to waste. My heart goes out to the families but I have to keep moving. I am in this to win this and I am not going to quit now... I just had to share this with everyone, I DID IT

Since our team challenge on 11/12/2009 I have made lots of progress. I have not been as focused on the numbers on the scale because the scale doesn't tell the whole truth when it comes to progress. First of all I've lost a total 6.8 pounds since 11/12 and I have lost lots of inches, 10.5 inches to be exact. I have much more energy and really enjoy my workouts. I have gained new friends, motivated some people, got motivation from others, and the list goes on...
I have set some new challenges for the team and myself for 2010 and I am going to work very hard to reach my goals and help the team reach their goals as well. I am doing my final numbers today rather than tomorrow because it really isn't going to be much of a difference since Aunt Flo is here... but I am ready to see the changes at the end of Jan, Feb, Mar... I am ready to see these pounds and inches melt away as I eat better, workout more, and have fun while doing it!

Ok since I met my last week's challenge of 6 days 45 minutes a day like a pro. I am setting the same goal for this week... 6 days, 45 minutes a day minimum... I am going into 2010 on the right foot... Why put off for tomorrow what you can do today?
12/27---> 75 minutes of cardio and a little strength training
12/28---> 50 minutes of cardio (2 mile WATP & 30 days Shred)
12/30---> 75 minutes of cardio
12/31---> 50 minutes

At the beginning of this week I posted a blog that went as followed... Ok, I have met my weekly fitness goals of 5 days, 45 minutes a day and I couldn't be happier. I am setting my next weeks goal of 6 days... 5 days 45 minutes minimum with my 6th being at least 30 minutes to help burn some of the extra holiday calories...
As of yesterday I met the 6 day cardio challenge as logged below (copied and pasted from my last blog) I burned over 4400 calories and completed almost 300 minutes of cardio this week alone. I am thinking about working out today for at least 30 minutes because I have been unhealthy too long and I am doing something about it right here, right now! I'm not waiting until the new year to change my habits. I started this year, you should too!
12/20---> 45 minutes of cardio
12/21---> 1 hour of cardio, 50 crunches, 30 squats
12/22---> 50 minutes of cardio, Jillian Michaels Fat Banish DVD
12/23---> 50 minutes of cardio, WATP 3 mile
12/24---> 30 minutes of cardio and 10 minutes of strength training
12/25---> 1 hour of cardio
Total 295 ftiness minutes
Total calories burned this week 4410
