Sparkpeople is an absolutely wonderful tool. It helped me get through some hurdles. I also realized that I can only rely on myself and GOD for motivation and discipline. You really can't rely on others. There were several times that I needed support and never received it. SP or Facebook and the other social media don't give you the support you need because just like you everyone else is going through something.
I say this to say. If not once a day stop by someone's SP or FB page and say something encouraging. You never know how much that can help someone. There have been several times I needed that encouragement and didn't get it. Sometimes it was the difference of being strong and feeling defeated.
I was just informed today at work that my male colleagues refer to me as the "BODY". This is before I even started my journey of losing weight and getting healthy. I was shocked and was extremely happy.
It really made my day to know that people have noticed that I have a nice body. They also added that I hide my body. Which is true I rarely flaunt my assets. The few times I've worn professionally fitted clothes they noticed how nice my entire body is. Love it. It just motivated me more to tone up the BODY.
Hey I'll take compliments where I can get them. LOL
I'm trying to decide if I should get my Zumba Certification. I've been going to the classes and absolutely love Zumba. There is a Certs class in June around my area (Philly). The issue I'm having is that there are plenty of great Zumba Instructors/Classes in my area. I don't know if its worth getting the certification if I'm really not going to be able to do anything with it.
I also want to go to the Zumba Convention in Orlando (august) but you have to be an Certified. Please help. Is it worth getting the certification with the great possiblity of never becoming an instructor.
