I haven't been on the computer since Sept 28th the day a tree (a very large tree) rolled over on my husband and broke his back. Today is the first time I woke up in my own bed since then. He was transfered to re-hab yesterday afternoon and will start the serious re-hab work on Monday and I will go back to work and just go visit him in the evening for a little while. The re-hab is in a hospital about 50 miles away so I will still be a little tired but nothing compared to the past 2 weeks.
Feeling very blessed to see him recovering so quickly after this accident that could have taken his life and then 2 major surgeries just days apart (one Friday and then the other on Monday).
I was impressed to see the hospital giving all the patients multi vitamins and extra folic acid. Even though hospital food has it's pros and cons at least they are facing up to the fact that alot of it doesn't get eaten and even more of it doesn't have all that much nutritional value.
USA Trama hospital will always have my praises. They are always in the red because so many of their patients don't have means or the insurance that we are fortunate to have but they have greatskilled caring people working there. I am so grateful. Ace let the students practice on him too. He is a good sport.
Definitely feeling grateful and blessed to the team work of the personel at USA. Skilled doctors, nurses that pattern they attitude after Florence Nightingale and students eager to learn. Hopefully I won't see them do their job so well again but I will be eternally grateful for seeing them do their jobs so well this time.
