A good week!

Sunday, March 20, 2011

I had my weigh in at WW at 103rd and State Line yesterday(March 20th). I had a loss of 5.4lbs. since last week!
I have to say that tracking my food, and a lot of extra activity is what did it. Plus, I have been on a plateau since Thanksgiving, gaining and losing the same pound or two over and over. Last week, I posted the first significant weight loss since the holidays (minus 1.8lbs), and quite a bit more yesterday.
I had a person move out of one of my rental properties last week, and I have been working in the house on my days off 12-13 hours a day painting, repairing, cleaning, scrubbing floors, etc. Also I have been going over to work on the house after I get off work at the hospital. I recorded most of my favorite tv shows, so I can watch them today. I must have burnt a lot more calories than I do when I walk a couple of miles at a time, doing all that work, which explains my big loss.
I just hope that I can maintain the loss, and lose some more this week. Usually, if I post a big loss, I gain part of it back the following week. I hope I donít do that this time.
So far, down 54.6lbs. since last May. Between 50-70 more to go, depending on what I look like at that point.
Thanks for reading!....Bob

Bob.. Congrats on your weight loss. If you get finished cleaning and scrubbing and want to do more please come to my house in Texas.. It needs it badly...
I think I am reaching a plateau finally and I am not happy about it... I started this journey in July or August of last year and have lost 76lbs. However the past two weeks have been sort of weird. Didn't lose or gain but this week i gained a pound. Very discouraging but I am still plugging away at trying to lose the last 40lbs... Sounds to me like you are very busy and all the extra work around the rental will give you some more calories burned. Good Luck and have a great weekend..Peggy emoticon

Congratulations on your weight loss. All of the cleaning and scrubbing you're doing on the house is helping too.
Keep up the good work! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

My first weigh in after joining SP

Wednesday, March 09, 2011

Hi!
My name is Bob, and I have been going to Weight Watchers meetings since May of 2010. By this last Thanksgiving, I had lost 51 lbs. However, since then, I have gained and lost about the same 3 lbs. over and over, and I still want to lose at least another 50. One of my WW friends told me that she also was involved with SP, so I thought I would look into it. I joined a while back, but didn't really get serious about looking around the site until a couple of weeks ago. I started using the SP food tracking system last week, in conjunction with my WW tracking. I wanted to see how many calories that I am eating, rather than just calculating the points+plus on WW. So far, (except for losing a fight with a box of Cheezits,) I have been more successful tracking my food both ways, and last week, for the first time in about 3 months, I posted a decent weight loss of 1.8lbs.! I hope that I can carry this momentum on this week, and break out of my plateau that I have been sitting at.
I like to meet new people, so please feel free to friend me. I live in the Overland Park KS area. Thanks for reading my blog, and I would appreciate any comments or suggestions...Bob

Hi Bob congratulations on your loss this week, you're up and running and breaking through that plateau. I had one for three weeks and found that upping my exercise a little finally did the trick...along with lots of encouragement from my Spark friends. Do read the Spark plateau articles, they have some great advice.
You've come so far already, just remember emoticon

Welcome to SP. So happy that you are losing weight again, it is a great motivator! Keep up with what you are doing and don't let the little things, like a box of cheez-its, get you down!
