Rest is what I needed!

I'm feeling a lot better today. Got a little spunk in my step!! So I added my cardio routine back on and managed to get through it. Maybe a couple days rest is what I needed.

The new job is going great. I just need to watch that I don't go back into those old bad habits of working all day with no breaks or extremely late lunches.

    yes you must take care of you first and remember that YOU are worth it !! If I ever let myself get too hungry( go to long without food ) then I just overeat like CrAzY !!
Not good !! I am so much better off to eat BEFORE I get hungry !!

What is going on?

I have not been feeling well for almost 2 wks now. Can't sleep at night because I'm running to the bathroom. I don't drink soda's just water. I've been trying to drink all my water by 6 pm. I'm up at least 4 - 8 times during the night! In addition, I've been wheezing. I have COPD and allergies. I've been wheezing for awhile now, sneezing everyday, taking benadryl almost daily - that's usual for me. My chest started hurting yesterday...what is this mess? I don't have time for this!! Both knees hurt....I didn't workout yesterday felt like crap, don't feel like it today either. On top of all this, I've been having cravings for potato chips! Of all things! I munch on fruit or salad but that does no good....craving still there.

Now that I have that off my chest...had to vent to somebody, nobody else to talk to. I just thought of something, I have Sjögren's Syndrome, maybe it's flaring up. Anyway, I think I will go back to using the Pea Powder for a couple days and back off some of the water so I can get some sleep.

    wow this does not sound right ??? wonder what is going on with you ! I just heard of Sjogren's for the first last last year. I had someone come in at work with that. That is rough !! They usually say getting up and going to bathroom more than usual can be a sign of diabetes so you may need to call your dr. anywoo.....take care of yourself and listen to your body...... let us know how things are going

2013 - A Positive Year!

I may not have been in the Christmas spirit in 2012 but I am definitely feeling good about 2013! So far, I have gotten back on track after gaining 4.8 lbs over Christmas. I have finally landed a job. As a matter of fact, I have two offers for employment (Thank God)!

Last year was full of challenges and sacrifices BUT I lost a final total of 46 lbs. (was 50)!

Now, I'm all geared up for 2013! It's going to be a fabulous year! I'm going to stay positive no matter what happens or doesn't happen. Life is getting too short to be sad & depressed all the time. I have other goals outside of weight loss set for this year and I'm getting myself together.

I'm getting out of debt!
I'm getting out of the obese range!
I'm going to spend more time with those close to my heart!
I'm going to take a couple of mini vacations!
I'm going to participate in a couple 5k Walks!
I'm going to do some volunteer work and help others!
I'm going to enjoy this year!!

I'm having a hard time this year getting into christmas. Probably because there has been so much stress going on this year with my being laid off . I turn on the TV to look at the news and its bad news after bad news. I've been praying for God to bless me with a job by year end.

Well, there may be a light at the end of the tunnel! Today, I received requests for 3 interviews and 2 resume submissions! God does answer prayer! He is working it out!! He is always right on time! Something will come through by year end. I just have to have faith!

I know some of my binges and sneaking a bite of fried chicken has to do with all the stress I've been enduring but I'm trying to hold on! My sunshine is coming!

(Sometimes you have to encourage yourself! emoticon )

So, please excuse me if I have been a little quiet on SP lately.

Breakfast with Santa!

Went to Breakfast with Santa Saturday with the grandkids, my daughter and my parents. We had a nice time. They did story telling and showed Peanut christmas movies. We had fun!

However, I went a little overboard at the breakfast. I had pancakes and bacon! My favorites. I didn't eat a whole stack but I had enough. It cost me too. Got on the scale this morning and my weight in for the week was a gain of .6 lbs which I'm not going to complain about. I can work that off. I had fun with my grandkids and family! I was back on board for the remainder of the day and back on board today!

I'm learning that we all slip every now & then, splurge every now & then BUT know when to STOP! Don't just go over the cliff because of one meal or a one day splurge! Get back on that horse!

I use to have the mentality to say to myself, well you ate too much so you might as well blow it and forget the diet! Don't think like that anymore. Can't afford it! I may have messed up with one meal but I've got plans! I have an ultimate goal to meet! So get my butt back in gear which is what I did for lunch & dinner yesterday.

We have to keep moving forward. I'm going to keep trying until I reach my goal!!

    you are so right and there's nothing crazy wrong with "treatin" yourself every now and then................... just not all day and everyother day.....LOL.... You know what you are doing and it really shows.... LOOK AT YOUR SUCCESS WOMAN !!! ....

    In the old days If I slipped I would have had a real binge but, I have learned something in the 4 years that I have been a member of spark and that doesn't happen anymore. If I slip I put whatever it was into my nutrition tracker and work around it. emoticon
