To help jump start my physical activity for December, I am doing the 12 days of Christmas which is a physical activity that follows the song 12 Days of Christmas. Originally, it came from a boot camp class that I did a few years ago and now try to do it every so often around Chrsitmas.
For each day, you do the prescribed activity and each preceding activity until you get to day 1 just like the song. For 2014, I am doing it twice in the month of December - right now and when Christmas actually happens.
Actions for each day are below:
Day 1 - 1 Lap around a block, a loop in the park or a track.
Day 2 - 2 8 count body builders
Day 3 - 3 Jump Squats
Day 4 - 4 Skaters Squats
Day 5 - 5 Burpees
Day 6 - 6 Superman
Day 7 - 7 Plank Jacks
Day 8 - 8 Push Ups
Day 9 - 9 Mountain Climbers
Day 10 - 10 Jumping Jacks
Day 11 - 11 Squats
Day 12 -12 Tabata sprints
If you miss a day you can go to the next day or makeup the day on the next day and do double duty(not fun but not bad as long as you do not fall too far behind like 6 days).
If you feel up to it, you can do it all on one day depending on your fitness level.
You can also change the exercises depending on your fitness level.
