Here I am, it's February, and I'm miserable in my body. I still need to lose the same old thirty pounds. I gave up several months ago, but it's almost spring, and I WANT to try again. So let's see ... where to start? Here.

    Welcome Back! I've missed you. The coming of warmer weather is a great motivator. No more bulky sweaters and extra jackets to hide behind!

    Well yes you should start here . I just recently got back on about 2 weeks ago and I started out bad but I am doing better. You can do it ! I need to lose 50 lbs all together and it is hard. Just keep pluggin at it and it will come. You need support your on the right site. Take it easy and when you feel like fallin just get on sparkpple and find some encouragemnet. Good luck to you.

Back on Track

I started back yesterday with my protein shake for breakfast, soup for lunch, and a reasonably healthy dinner. I did well. There was still some late-night snacking (frowny-face), though I'm not sure it was all bad after all. I have trouble sleeping, and sometimes a litle snack can help me rest better. This morning, I had one of my power breakfasts that I love, even though most people would find it weird: spinach and turkey pepperoni in a low-fat, low-carb, heart-healthy, fiber-rich tortilla. That held me over until now; it's nearly 1 p.m., and I'm thinking of going out for lunch --- but I won't overdo it.


First Kickboxing Class

Whew. Oh boy. I made it for thirty minutes of an hour class, and it whipped me hard. Fatigue was a problem, but the biggest challenge was the nausea that came over me about fifteen minutes into it. I had to take small breaks and walk around, then I finally had to quit. I'm determined to try it again later this week, probably Friday. On Thursday, I'm going to do a conditioning class, which is apparently a combination of Pilates and some calorie-burning type stuff.


Starting a New Fitness Program

I just signed up for a kickboxing and conditioning program at the brand new arts academy just a block from my house! I start Tuesday! Can't wait.
