Pressing on

Monday, May 23, 2011

This should be one of the happiest, most fulfilling times in my life. I've lost 14 pounds. I'll be graduating from college in December. I'm about to make some exciting changes in my life. A man I've loved since I was 16 years old is back in my life again. But my 2nd child hates me and has cut off all contact with me. How can I reconcile so much happiness alongside so much misery?

Seeing some progress

Monday, May 09, 2011

I stepped on the scale this morning and looked down . . . then I stepped off, reset the scale, and stepped back on to check again! I weighed in at 199 lbs. This is the first time I've weighed less than 200 lbs. in over a year and it feels great!

Another new day

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

Well, it's a brand new day today. I stepped on the scale this morning and was a little disappointed that I didn't see MAJOR results because I feel as though I've been doing MAJOR work on it these last two weeks! But I reminded myself that I didn't get overweight in two weeks and I won't lose the weight in two weeks. I'm doing good.

A little confused

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

I have been consistent so far this week with tracking my foods and getting my exercise; but my blood sugar has gone wild! I don't understand that at all. I thought adding some physical exercise was supposed to help stabilize blood sugar. And I really have not been cheating with my foods. What's up with that?

Up and at 'em

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

I woke up at 5 AM (an hour before the alarm on my clock) with a surprising amount of energy and "feel good" going on! When my daughter leaves for dialysis (6 AM), I'm going to do a walking workout video and get ready to face the day. So far, so good. emoticon
