What was I thinking?Saturday, February 19, 2011
This week I wasn't feeling well, so my only day working out earlier in the week was on Wednesday with the Seaside Sparkers. To make up for this, I decided to take the Spinning class at the gym. The instructor looked like she was a true cyclist (great legs), so I knew I was in good hands. She started the class asking who was new to cycling (at least 10 of us raised our hands), and she started explaining what we needed to do to adjust our bikes. We started off slowly (I'm thinking, I can do this)! Shortly after that, she took off! It was SO fast, and SO intense! My mind was racing!! I thought, I really made a mistake! But she was watching and told us not to give up and leave, but to just do what we could. I was reassured that there must of been others who had the same panicked look as I did. I hung in there, and was glad I did, because I managed to get a second wind halfway thru the class. ![]()

This blog makes me laugh. I'm so glad to have you as part of our team. I think you're doing good (with the team and at the gym) you didn't give up and you even got a flirt. I'm looking forward to you sharing some of the tips that you learned today. Keep up the good work! Report Inappropriate Comment |

So we're counting down to Saturday, and I'm asking myself - why did I pick Zumba as the group activity??? I've finally mastered a couple of the dance moves (merengue, salsa), but the more advanced steps (reggaeton for example) escape me...the one thing that I can definitely say is that we are going to be challenged, and it's going to be a lot of fun! I can hear the laughter now...
So get ready team...wear lightweight clothing, bring a towel and lots of energy - we're going to have a great time!
