Thanksgiving Blahs!

Well I am afraid I did not do well yesterday. Even though I read all of the motivational blogs! It is a different game when faced with all of the good food. So I had one piece of apple pie, but went a little crazy with the chocolate cherries. (One of my seasonal favorites) Then today I took my grandson to eat pizza and naturally, I had some. At least we went to the park after. I did 50 minutes of exercise yesterday, but felt really exhausted today. Could not get motivated. This makes me realize that the wrong food really does make you feel tired. I just hope I will remember this feeling for Christmas. I will never give up!

STILL NO DONUTS!

I know it doesn't sound like much, but I still have not gotten donuts! However, my body is screaming out for them with every fiber of my being. My schedule every Sunday was to go to church and then straight to the donut shop. Sometimes they have them right in the family room at church. I don't even have to drive to get them. I am not sure why this is making me crazy, but it is. I want some so badly that I almost went today. But I didn't. I had a healthy breakfast. But I still want one so badly. But that is part of the problem. I cannot just eat one. There is always another one lurking around the table with my name on it. I know I will give in soon, but I will hold out as long as I can.(Since September 22nd) And may God give me the strength to reject them for as long as I can.

    you are doing great!!!!!!! I agree with MESLIBRARIAN try driving a different way , maybe that will ease the cravings a bit.

    You are doing great resisting them. I once heard another Sparker make a comment about "if it doesn't fit, don't wear it". She was referring to eating foods that don't fit in our plan. That comment has stuck with me whenever I am tempted. emoticon

    Good job exercising restraint. Hang in there. If you end up giving in at least make some of the sparkpeople donuts. They are so much healthier than normal donuts that I think it is safe to not even call them donuts. I can't wait to make some myself.

    Hold on! My problem is when it's right in front of me like at work or at church. So if possible go a different way so you don't even see a donut store.

I had to pass by my favorite (OLD) donut shop this morning. (Yes, the window was down and I could smell them) I saw all of the cars lined up in the drive through. My car almost made the usual left turn to get there. Then suddenly I thought about SPARKPEOPLE and I didn't make that left turn! I thought "what a small victory" this is! I did it!!! Even though my mind and body were screaming at me to get just one, I didn't. I came home and had raisin bran with almond milk, walnuts and flaxseeds. I feel empowered. I feel strong. I FEEL GREAT !!

    emoticon I used to work out at a gym which sat between a bakery and a pizzeria and the threadmills looked into the parking lot where you would see folks driving through for there biscuits with different meats, etc
