Early workout

This morning I was a bit sore so I ran for a half hour going three miles then walked 1.5 more in another half hour. I was so proud that I did it early. To hubby and I kinda just had a lazy day hanging out. I don't feel too bad about it though because I got my exercise in and didn't go over on my calories. Pumpkin also chilled out with us today. Here is a picture of him on the couch, he doesn't look comfy to me but he sure was purring and layed there for a while. Good night, I think I'm going to go to bed early start the week off with 7 1/2 - 8 hours :o)

Sudden darkness

This morning I got up and went to pick Coryn up from a friends house and took her to practice. Then I went by Starbucks to get me free perfect oatmeal :o) then went to pick up my collection from the co op (www.bountifulbaskets.org) picture of todays offerings are below.

Then I went home and chopped up veggies for a couple hours and made lunch. Steamed veggies and rice with a veggie burger for me and chicken for Trever :o) It was a nice day without the kids even though we didn't do anything active during the day we ate healthy. We watched a movie then went out to Subway, walmart, etc.

I was going to walk after we got hoe but decided to run instead, about a half a mile the treadmill stopped and it went almost pitch black. The darn power went out. Then after it came back on I didn't let it get me too down and got right back on to finish my 3 miles. I did 2.5 miles in 22 min and 39 sec YEAH!!! Tomorrow I may work more on distance and go slower. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and especcially to Selina for inspiring me to run and for Barbara I had posted that I might run then decided not to yesterday then after I read your post Barbara I just had to run. :o) I'm well on my way to the half marathon at the end of March!!!!

    I'm so excited for you to be doing a half marathon! And girl what a great time on your treadmill! I'm sorry your power went out. Before I read on I thought your treadmill broke and was beginning to feel really bad for you. It's happened to me. Anyway I'm glad your power is back on and there is nothing wrong with the treadmill :)

I love that assortment of veggies and fruit. It looks delicious.

I'm so happy I was able to help motivate you a little bit. Thanks so much for mentioning it. emoticon

Fab Friday

So today I'm home with my son because he got in trouble yesterday. Had a major detour this morning taking my daughter to school due to road closures from the weather. Then went to sprouts, wholefoods, dealer , etc.

Then I cam home and made lunch, I really liked it. The picture is below. I also added it as a recipe. Next time I'm going to add a little more veggies. My son even liked it. :o) I better get back to work. Also later I'm thinking of seeing how far I can run now that I've been inspired. Not sure though I still feel blah and tierd.

Thursday adventures

Today I had work then I took my son Chance to the dr. to check his adenoids etc. because he has been having trouble sleeping. So we found out that he is going to be scheduled to get both his tonsils and adenoids out. I really hope it helps. The nights he gets worse sleep he really has a rough day at school.

When we got to the dr I realized that I forgot my walet at home, luckily they were able to look up the insurance info. After that I decided to go to Trader Joes, when I got out of the car I quickly realized oh yeah I forgot my wallet. So I scraped up $5 and just got some yogurt and whole wheat pasta for now.

After we got home I cut up bunches of veggies for everyones omlette and went next door to help mom set up her new body bugg. By the time Trever and coryn got home pretty much all the veggies were ready and everyone portioned out what they wanted (the kids picked two colors of veggie 20g each) then made the omlettes and watched Mercy. It was so good!!!!

After I ate I went on the treadmill for a half hour then I did a 20 min DVD workout :o)

Long Day

Had a dr. appointment today work then an after work meeting till 7:40. I am so tierd. But I did say no thanks to the dinner tonight and just had my water I brought. They brought in mexican food. Then I had dinner when I came home and now I'm typing from the incline trainer. even though I really didn't want to go on here tonight. :o) Hope everyone had a great day!!! Hugz

    Some of the days I just walk on the incline trainer like today. Yeah I walked for an hour but it was walking. No running tonight. I have a desk job so need the steps :)
